Nous recherchons un(e) Gestionnaire, Livraison Agile, responsable de diriger et de coacher une équipe de professionnels Agile, assurant la mise en œuvre réussie du cadre Agile à travers les projets et les lignes de produits dans les domaines. Vous jouerez un rôle crucial en promouvant les meilleures pratiques Agile en collaborant avec l’équipe du Centre d’Excellence Agile (ACoE) de RT et les coachs de domaine, facilitant l’amélioration continue et favorisant une culture de collaboration et de haute performance au sein de l’équipe.

Vous serez également un promoteur et un ambassadeur des méthodes de travail Agile. Vous apporterez des connaissances ou une expertise approfondie et développerez cette expertise et cette capacité chez les membres de votre chapitre (Scrum Masters et Release Train Engineers). Vous prendrez soin et encouragerez la croissance de vos membres d’équipe pour garantir qu’ils sont inspirés par un sens du but et qu’ils développent continuellement leur maîtrise et leur autonomie.

Enfin, vous serez responsable de fournir un leadership régional à la gestion du changement organisationnel.

Le/La Gestionnaire, Livraison Agile, occupe un rôle de leadership, avec la responsabilité de guider l’exécution opérationnelle et la croissance professionnelle de son équipe (Scrum Masters et Release Train Engineers), tout en garantissant que leurs résultats sont alignés avec les priorités stratégiques et les normes techniques. Ces responsabilités sont centrales pour le rôle, chacune contribuant de manière significative au succès du chapitre et soutenant les objectifs d’IS&T et de Rio Tinto.

Champion des méthodes de travail Agile dans IS&T

  • Promouvoir les valeurs et les principes Agile dans IS&T en encourageant l’adoption des cadres, outils et normes Agile recommandés par ACoE
  • Veiller à ce que les ressources Agile qualifiées soient équipées de mentalités, comportements, outils et processus Agile pour soutenir la livraison Agile
  • Diriger des initiatives pour favoriser une culture Agile, y compris des évaluations de maturité Agile et des sessions de formation pour les équipes de votre région avec le soutien de l’ACoE et du Manager Agile Delivery, APAC
  • Offrir du coaching et du mentorat aux leaders de domaine, équipes et individus dans IS&T pour améliorer leur maturité Agile
  • Piloter de nouvelles pratiques et outils et partager les résultats réussis avec le chapitre de livraison Agile en APAC, l’ACoE et l’organisation plus large.

Gouvernance et assurance des pratiques Agile

  • Adopter et localiser les pratiques, cadres et outils Agile définis par ACoE qui sont essentiels pour l’adoption réussie et la pratique continue des cadres Agile à travers IS&T (équipes persistantes ou projets) avec le soutien des coachs de domaine
  • Assurer la première ligne de défense que les équipes de livraison sont alignées sur les processus et pratiques Agile localisés
  • Posséder et maintenir le cadre de gouvernance pour les projets Agile avec le soutien de l’équipe de gouvernance et de planification de l’ePMO
  • Fournir des conseils d’expert aux nouveaux projets Agile ou aux équipes Agile pour les mettre sur la voie du succès
  • Soutenir l’équipe de leadership de domaine pour déterminer la meilleure méthode de livraison (Waterfall ou Agile) et le cadre Agile à utiliser (si Agile est choisi) pour livrer les initiatives stratégiques et les résultats commerciaux

Responsabilités de leadership du chapitre – développement des personnes

  • Développer et améliorer continuellement les praticiens Agile (Scrum Masters, Release Train Engineers) avec un parcours structuré et délibéré pour soutenir les lignes de produits, programmes et projets dans le domaine, en s’appuyant sur le modèle de capacité des personnes
  • Fournir une exécution stratégique et un leadership opérationnel : Exécuter la vision stratégique communiquée par le chef de groupe du chapitre ou le chef de zone du chapitre en optimisant les flux de travail et les processus de l’équipe, visant à améliorer l’efficacité opérationnelle et à soutenir les objectifs plus larges d’IS&T et de Rio Tinto
  • Croissance professionnelle et expertise technique : Faire progresser l’expertise collective du chapitre en mentorant les membres de l’équipe, en favorisant la croissance professionnelle et en assurant l’alignement avec l’évolution de l’organisation, tout en fournissant des conseils techniques pratiques pour maintenir des normes de livraison élevées
  • Priorisation et alignement du travail : Superviser la priorisation du backlog du chapitre, aligner les tâches de l’équipe sur les priorités d’IS&T et du groupe de chapitre et intégrer les retours des parties prenantes pour garantir que les efforts contribuent efficacement aux objectifs d’IS&T et de Rio Tinto
  • Culture de l’excellence et amélioration continue : Cultiver une culture d’excellence technique au sein du chapitre, en donnant l’exemple dans le partage des connaissances et l’innovation, et en affinant continuellement les processus en réponse aux retours de performance pour répondre aux besoins dynamiques de l’organisation
  • Recrutement et développement de l’équipe : Diriger activement l’acquisition de talents et gérer la progression de carrière au sein du chapitre, inspirant un sens du but et de l’autonomie chez les membres de l’équipe pour construire une équipe robuste, performante et autosuffisante
  • Influence collaborative : Agir en tant que liaison clé entre l’équipe du chapitre, d’autres chapitres et domaines soutenant les initiatives transversales et veillant à ce que les contributions du chapitre soient bien intégrées dans le contexte plus large des produits et projets d’IS&T et de Rio Tinto

About the role 

Finding better ways to provide the materials the world needs. 

We are seeking a Manager, Agile Delivery who will be responsible for leading and coaching a team of Agile Professionals, ensuring the successful implementation of Agile framework across projects and product lines in the domains. You will play a crucial role in driving Agile best practices by collaborating with RT Agile Centre of Excellence (ACoE) team and domain coaches, facilitating continuous improvement, and fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance within the team.  

You are also a promoter and ambassador of Agile ways of working. You will bring knowledge or deep expertise and develop this expertise and capability in your chapter members (Scrum Masters and Release Train Engineers). You take care for and nurture the growth of your team members to ensure they are inspired by a sense of purpose and are continually building their mastery and autonomy.   

Finally, you will have accountability to provide a ‘home’ or regional leadership to the Organisation Change management. 

The Manager, Agile Delivery holds a leadership role, with responsibility for guiding their team’s (Scrum Masters and Release Train Engineers) operational execution and professional growth, as well as ensuring their output aligns with strategic priorities and technical standards. These accountabilities are central to the role, each contributing significantly to the Chapter’s success, and supporting IS&T and Rio Tinto objectives. 

Reporting to the Chief Advisor, PMO RTHQ Australia, some of the accountabilities of the role will include: 

Agile Ways of Working Champion in IS&T  

  • Advocate for Agile values and principles in IS&T promoting the adoption of Agile frameworks, tools and standards recommended by ACoE  
  • Ensure the skilled agile resources are equipped with agile mindsets, behaviours, tools and processes to support Agile delivery  
  • Lead initiatives to foster an Agile culture including running Agile maturity assessments and training sessions for teams in your region with support from ACoE and Manager Agile Delivery, APAC  
  • Offer coaching and mentorship to domain leaders, teams and individuals in IS&T to improve their Agile maturity  
  • Pilot new practices and tools and share successful outcomes with Agile Delivery Chapter in APAC, ACoE and the broader organization. 

Governance and Assurance of Agile Practices  

  • Adopt and localize Agile practices, frameworks, and tools set by ACoE that are essential for successful adoption and ongoing practice of Agile frameworks across IS&T (persistent teams or projects) with support from Domain coaches  
  • Provides first Line of Defence assurance that delivery teams are aligned to the localised agile processes and practices  
  • Owns and maintains the governance framework for Agile Projects with support from ePMO’s Governance & Planning team  
  • Provides SME guidance to new Agile projects or Agile teams to set them up for success  
  • Support Domain leadership team to determine the best delivery method (Waterfall or Agile) and Agile framework to be used (if agile is chosen) for delivering strategic initiatives and business outcomes .

Chapter leadership accountabilities – people development  

  • Develops and continuously improves the Agile practitioners (Scrum Masters, Release Train Engineers) with a deliberate and structured pathway to support product lines, program and projects in the domain, leveraging the people capability model.
  • Provides strategic execution and operational leadership: Executes the strategic vision communicated by the Chapter Group Lead or Chapter Area Lead by optimising team workflows and processes, aiming to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness to support the broader objectives of IS&T and Rio Tinto  
  • Professional growth and technical expertise: Advances the Chapter’s collective expertise by mentoring team members, fostering career growth, and ensuring alignment with organizational evolution, while also providing direct, hands-on technical guidance to uphold high standards of delivery  
  • Work Prioritisation and Alignment: Oversees the prioritisation of the Chapter’s backlog, aligning team tasks with IS&T and Chapter Group priorities and integrating stakeholder feedback to ensure that efforts contribute effectively to the goals of both IS&T and Rio Tinto  
  • Culture of Excellence and Continuous Improvement: Cultivates a culture of technical excellence within the Chapter, leading by example in knowledge sharing and innovation, and continuously refining processes in response to performance feedback to meet the dynamic needs of the organisation  
  • Recruitment and Team Development: Actively lead talent acquisition and manage career progression within the Chapter, inspiring a sense of purpose and autonomy among team members to build a robust, high-performing, and self-sufficient team  
  • Collaborative Influence: Acts as a key liaison between the Chapter team, other Chapters, and Domains supporting cross-functional initiatives and ensuring that the Chapter’s contributions are well-integrated within the larger context of IS&T and Rio Tinto products and projects  

About you 

To be successfully considered for this role, you will have: 

  • A commitment to the safety of yourself and your colleagues; 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field; 
  • 10 – 15 years of experience in a similar role; 
  • Communication and collaboration skills, good at critical thinking and problem solving
  • Excellent business acumen
  • Demonstrated experience successfully implementing and coaching teams to adopt Agile ways of working.
  • Expert and experienced Agile Project & Program delivery skills and competencies
  • Certified in Agile delivery frameworks (Scrum, SAFe etc)
  • Experience operating in DevOps model and product centric approach
  • Strong empathy for local and regional requirements
  • Strong governance experience with global programs, particularly in regards to decision rights and authority levels in a matrix organisation
  • Strength and curiosity in using data to drive improvements
  • Able to dive into detail on Agile projects and Agile teams that require support and then step back
  • Superior supplier partnership management, outcome based, skills
  • Strong people leadership in career development and performance management
  • Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken. Rio Tinto is a global company and the duties of this position require daily collaboration with colleagues, teams or partners based outside Quebec.

We’re a mining and metals company with operations in 35 countries around the world. We work in an incredible variety of settings – in mines, smelters, and refineries; in sales offices and data centres; in research facilities and development labs; and with artificial intelligence. You’ll be part of a friendly, welcoming community close to our mining operation. You’ll be home after each shift to enjoy your life away from work.

Flying into a site, staying at a camp for the duration of your roster, then flying home again. We call this FIFO.

For certain sites, you will take a bus or a boat into the site, stay at a camp, and then bus or boat out again.
