We are looking for an Administrative Assistant to join the Mobile Asset & Logistics team to provide a range of support services including document preparation, data entry, customer service, vacation scheduling, general administrative support for special projects or initiatives, and other related duties.

Reporting to the Advisor Fleet Management, and working Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., you will:
- Work safely in accordance with Rio Tinto safety standards – actively engaging in safety initiatives and promoting our “Zero harm” safety culture
- Perform data entry to ensure accurate information is promptly captured in appropriate information systems
- Accurately maintain vacation records
- Provide general administrative support to the Supply Chain Department
- Establish and maintain office filing systems, files and records, assemble information upon request, direct other employees in file maintenance procedures
What you’ll bring
- A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
- Diploma or Certificate in Business Administration
- Proficient in MS Office applications
- Ability to work cooperatively and productively with others to achieve results
- Effective organization and prioritization skills
- Good time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Proficient in SAP or other ERP software is an asset
- Experience with workforce scheduling, in a unionized environment, is an asset

We are a leading North American producer and exporter of premium iron ore pellets and high-grade concentrate with average iron grades greater than 66%. IOC’s operations include a mine with five operational pits, a concentrator and a pelletizing plant located near Labrador City in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador. We also operate a wholly-owned 418 km railway, the Quebec North Shore and Labrador Railway (QNS&L), that links our Labrador operations to Company-owned port facilities in Sept-Iles.
