About the role

Join our inclusive MPE – Shut Strategy team here at Rio Tinto, where your customer engagement skills and experience will be valued and enriched within the role of Planner.

This unique role will see you manage the resource requirements to support shutdowns across the Fixed Plant and HME teams supporting our Pilbara Mine Operations, including vendor engagement and management for all the planned maintenance shutdowns. Managing site demand and allocations to vendors to perform the work.

Reporting to the Superintendent Shutdown Strategy – Asset Planning, you will be responsible for :

• Labour Coordination for FP and HME

• Generalist, Specialist Mechanical scopes

• Generalist and Specialist Electrical scopes

• Access solutions (RA and Scaffold)

• Generalist and Specialist HME scopes (planned work)

What you’ll bring

To be successfully considered for this role, you will have: 

• Previous experience managing and engaging with contract partners

• Experience using SAP or similar CMMS

• Knowledge of shutdown management process or best practice

• Strong focus on workplace culture team cohesion and a proactive can-do attitude

• High attention to detail, with a proactive work ethic

• Current ‘C’ Class Driver's License (Manual)

• A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team 

• Respect for others and an all-inclusive mindset

Where you’ll be working

This role will be based at our Perth CBD offices in Central Park. This role is offered on a 5/2 weekly roster, with flexibility where required.
