Nous recherchons un(e) Conseiller(ère) Principal(e) en Prix de Transfert pour rejoindre l'équipe mondiale de prix de transfert pour un remplacement de congé de maternité de 18 mois. Le/la candidat(e) sera principalement responsable des questions de conformité (préparation de la documentation de prix de transfert et maintien du processus d’automatisation de la collecte d’informations) mais aussi de développer des conseils en matière de structuration des politiques de prix de transfert et de gérer les relations avec les différentes administrations fiscales (contrôles fiscaux, accords préalables de prix, etc.). Le/la candidat(e) travaillera directement sur une panoplie de projets diversifiés avec des intervenants de différentes unités d’affaires.

En tant que membre d'une équipe mondiale, ce poste est dynamique et peut nécessiter parfois du travail en dehors des heures de bureau normales, notamment des réunions et des appels avec des collègues situés à Singapour, en Australie, à Londres, et aux États-Unis. Sous la supervision de la Directrice des Prix de Transfert, au sein d'une équipe diversifiée et collaborative du service Fiscalité, vos principales responsabilités seront les suivantes :

  • Gérer les exigences de conformité en matière de prix de transfert à travers les Amériques, notamment :
    • Collecter les informations et préparer la documentation de prix de transfert.
    • Aider avec les exigences locales en matière de déclaration des transactions entre parties liées.
    • Effectuer les analyses fonctionnelles et coordonner les analyses de benchmarking.
    • Coordonner avec les prestataires de services externes et les consultants lorsque nécessaire.
  • Identifier les opportunités d'amélioration continue, en particulier dans le domaine de la conformité des prix de transfert et de l'automatisation.
  • Contribuer aux obligations de déclaration des prix de transfert du groupe, y compris la mise à jour du fichier principal et l'assistance à la préparation du rapport pays par pays.
  • Surveiller les modifications apportées à la législation sur les prix de transfert et communiquer et mettre en œuvre, le cas échéant, les meilleures pratiques pour répondre à de tels changements.
  • Aider les responsables des prix de transfert à fournir des conseils de prix de transfert opportuns et commercialement pertinents aux différends groupes de produits opérant dans les Amériques.
  • Rassembler les informations financières et non financières nécessaires en travaillant avec le personnel des différentes unités commerciales et entreprendre des revues régulières des transactions inter-entreprises.
  • Soutenir la mise en œuvre de nouveaux modèles et de nouvelles politiques de prix de transfert.
  • Effectuer des revues de profitabilité annuelle et travailler avec les équipes de finances pour comptabiliser les ajustements dans les comptes statutaires annuels.
  • Établir des relations avec les unités commerciales et les différentes parties prenantes internes et externes (vérificateurs, légal, trésorerie, finance).
  • Assister les directeurs en matière de réorganisations et de transactions, ainsi que surveiller et identifier de manière proactive les risques et les opportunités de planification pour les opérations du Groupe.
  • Supporter les directeurs dans les contrôles fiscaux, les accords préalables en matière de prix (APA) et les procédures amiables (MAP) (y compris la coordination avec les prestataires externes.
  • Gérer les interactions avec les auditeurs externes et les prestataires de services externes sur les questions de prix de transfert.

Pour être considéré pour ce poste, vous devrez répondre aux critères suivants :

  • Une attention impeccable aux détails et la capacité de se concentrer sur tous les domaines d'un projet ou d'une tâche, aussi petite soit-elle.
  • Compétences organisationnelles démontrées et capacité à maintenir l'efficacité tout en produisant un travail précis.
  • Capacité à gérer suffisamment bien votre temps pour permettre la révision, mais sans prendre trop de temps au point de manquer des délais ou de retarder des projets.
  • Posséder une expérience minimale de 5 ans en en prix de transfert, acquise au sein d'un cabinet de conseil et/ou dans le service fiscal d'une entreprise multinationale.
  • Détenir un titre professionnel en comptabilité, un diplôme en droit, en économie/finance, ou une formation équivalente.
  • Maitriser le français et l’anglais à l’oral et à l’écrit. Rio Tinto est une entreprise mondiale et les fonctions de ce poste exigent une collaboration quotidiennement avec des collègues, des équipes ou des partenaires basés à l’extérieur du Québec. Connaissance de l'espagnol est un atout.
  • Avoir une expérience avérée en matière de prix de transfert, incluant la préparation de documentation globale de prix de transfert et de formulaires fiscaux.
  • Être capable d'extraire, d'analyser et d'évaluer des données, et de formuler des recommandations pertinentes.
  • Avoir déjà mis en œuvre des politiques de prix de transfert, avec une compréhension pratique des systèmes et écritures comptables (comme la préparation d'ajustements de prix de transfert).
  • Démontrer la capacité à hiérarchiser des tâches et à travailler sur plusieurs missions avec des échéances et des parties prenantes concurrents.
  • Aimer s'approprier des projets et montrer une aptitude à travailler efficacement et en collaboration avec des équipes interfonctionnelles, composées de membres ayant diverses compétences et expériences.
  • Une aptitude à concevoir des processus, ainsi qu'une connaissance et un intérêt pour l'amélioration des processus et des flux de travail à l'aide d'outils comme Power BI.
  • Capacité à communiquer efficacement par écrit et à l’orale.
  • Une expérience en matière de contrôles fiscaux, y compris la gestion des interactions avec les autorités fiscales.

We are looking for a Senior Advisor, Transfer Pricing to join the global transfer pricing team on an 18-month maternity leave cover, commencing immediately. The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for managing and improving transfer pricing compliance and reporting across the Americas by adopting automation solutions and providing transfer pricing advice to our product groups expanding in these regions. Additionally, this role will work on several diverse projects with a range of internal stakeholders, supporting several transfer pricing managers in transfer pricing advisory and audits, as required.

As part of a global team, the role is dynamic and at times may require work outside of normal business hours, including participating in meetings and calls with colleagues across Singapore, Australia, London, the U.S.A., and Montreal. Reporting to the Transfer Pricing Manager and working in a collaborative community and a diverse team within the Tax team, you will be:

  • Managing the transfer pricing compliance requirements across the Americas, including:
    • Collecting information and preparing transfer pricing documentation.
    • Assisting with local related party reporting requirements.
    • Coordinating benchmarking analyses for these regions.
    • Coordinating with external service providers and consultants when required.
  • Identifying continuous improvement opportunities, especially in the transfer pricing compliance and reporting automation space.
  • Assisting with the group’s transfer pricing reporting obligations, including updating the Master File and assisting with the preparation of the Country-by-Country Report.
  • Monitoring changes to TP legislation and communicating and implementing best practices to address any such changes.
  • Assisting Transfer Pricing Managers in providing timely and commercially relevant transfer pricing services to various staff in the different product groups and functions that operate in the Americas.
  • Gathering necessary financial and non-financial information by liaising with personnel from various business units and undertaking regular inter-company transactions reviews.
  • Supporting the project management and implementation of transfer pricing projects.
  • Performing annual true-up analysis and working with finance to book amounts in annual statutory accounts.
  • Building relationships with the business units and ensuring coordination with members across a global tax department and stakeholder teams (Controllership, Legal, Treasury, Operations).
  • Assisting managers with respect to reorganizations and transactions, as well as proactively monitoring and identifying potential TP risks and optimization opportunities for the Group’s operations.
  • Assisting managers with tax audits, Advance Pricing Arrangements (APA), and Mutual Agreement Procedures (MAP) (including coordination with external service providers).
  • Managing interactions with external auditors and external service providers on transfer pricing issues.

About you

To be successfully considered for this role, you must have:

  • A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team.
  • Impeccable attention to detail and the ability to focus on all areas of a project or task, no matter how small.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to maintain efficiency while producing accurate work.
  • Ability to manage your time well enough to allow for editing but not take so much time that you miss deadlines or hold up projects.
  • Minimum 5 years of TP experience with a consultancy firm and/or within the tax department of a multinational company.
  • Professional accounting designation, Law degree, Economics / Finance degree or equivalent background.
  • Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of Spanish is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience in transfer pricing, including preparation of transfer pricing documentation and compliance filings.
  • Ability to extract, analyze, and review data and make appropriate recommendations.
  • Transfer Pricing implementation experience with a working knowledge of accounting systems and inter-company journals (i.e., preparation of TP adjustments) is desirable.
  • Ability to prioritize competing tasks and work on multiple assignments with competing deadlines and stakeholders.
  • Enjoys taking ownership of projects and demonstrates ability to work effectively and collaboratively across cross-functional teams with a diverse background and skillset.
  • Aptitude for process design, knowledge, and interest in improving processes and workflows by using tools such as Power BI.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally.
  • Proven experience with tax audits; dealing with tax authorities.
