Nous sommes à la recherche d’un conseiller principal ou d’une conseillère principale, Capital de maintien, qui assurera la supervision des processus de planification et d’exécution des projets de capital de maintien, fournira des conseils spécialisés à cet égard, exercera un leadership dans le cadre du programme de Progiciel de gestion intégré (ERP) moderne et appuiera l’établissement du domaine et de la gamme de produits Technologie de capital de maintien. Vous représenterez le Capital de maintien au sein du programme technologique de l’ERP moderne, assurerez la liaison avec d’autres intervenants des communautés Capital de maintien et Gestion des actifs, et collaborerez avec les groupes de produits afin de recenser des améliorations aux processus et de définir les exigences technologiques visant le développement des projets et portefeuilles d’investissements.
Relevant du ou de la chef de service, Capital de maintien, vous aurez les responsabilités suivantes :
- Représenter le processus mondial Capital de maintien dans le cadre du programme de l’ERP moderne (état actuel et état futur) et collaborer avec les équipes de propriétaires des processus mondiaux (technologies, données et autres).
- Soutenir l’établissement de la gamme de produits Technologie de capital de maintien au sein du domaine Technologie de gestion des actifs.
- Fournir des conseils spécialisés et du coaching en tant que partenaire de confiance auprès des groupes de produits, et ce, pour l’ensemble des pratiques de gestion de projet de Capital de maintien : études, ingénierie, approvisionnement et contrats, planification et ordonnancement, estimation des coûts, contrôles de projet, construction, risques liés aux projets, SSE des projets, mise en service, préparation opérationnelle ainsi que gouvernance et assurance des projets.
- Fournir des conseils spécialisés et du coaching en tant que partenaire de confiance auprès des groupes de produits relativement aux pratiques de gestion de portefeuille et de planification des investissements de Capital de maintien : analyse comparative, assurance, rapports et amélioration continue visant à rehausser l’efficience et l’efficacité des investissements.
- Soutenir le ou la chef de service, Capital de maintien, dans le développement des pratiques de Capital de maintien, et ce, pour l’ensemble des pratiques de gestion de projet : études, ingénierie, approvisionnement et contrats, planification et ordonnancement, estimation des coûts, contrôles de projet, construction, risques liés aux projets, SSE des projets, mise en service, préparation opérationnelle ainsi que gouvernance et assurance des projets.
- Soutenir le ou la chef de service, Capital de maintien, dans le développement des pratiques de gestion de portefeuille et de planification des investissements.
- Collaborer avec des équipes interfonctionnelles afin d’intégrer la stratégie technologique de Capital de maintien dans les processus globaux de gestion des actifs et d’exploitation.
- Soutenir l’intendance de la procédure relative au capital de maintien de Rio Tinto et des lignes directrices connexes.
Votre contribution
- Vaste expérience en gestion de projets de capital de maintien et/ou de portefeuilles d’investissements dans l’industrie des mines, des métaux et des minéraux ou dans un autre secteur de ressources.
- Solide connaissance de l’intégration des personnes, des processus et des systèmes/technologies pour les projets d’investissement.
- Solide connaissance de l’intégration des processus d’ingénierie, de gestion des actifs, de gestion de projet, de gestion de portefeuille d’investissements, de finances, de risques et de prise de décisions en matière d’investissements.
- Capacité éprouvée à diriger et à influencer des équipes interfonctionnelles et à mener à bien des initiatives stratégiques.
- Excellentes compétences en communication, facilitation et gestion des parties prenantes.
- Capacité à définir et à mettre en œuvre des stratégies efficaces pour la gestion des projets d’investissement.
- Capacité démontrée à travailler dans un environnement organisationnel dynamique et complexe.

About the role

We are looking for a Principal Advisor – Sustaining Capital to provide expert guidance and oversight on the processes of planning and execution of sustaining capital projects, provide leadership within the modern Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) program, and support the establishment of the Sustaining Capital technology domain and product line. You will represent Sustaining Capital within the modern ERP technology program, liaise with others in the Sustaining Capital and Asset Management communities and collaborate with Product Groups to identify process improvements and technology requirements for the development of capital projects and portfolios.
Reporting to the Manager – Sustaining Capital, you will:
- Represent the Sustaining Capital global process on the modern ERP program covering processes for current state and target state, and engage with technology, data and other global process ownership teams.
- Support the establishment of the Sustaining Capital technology product line within the Asset Management Technology Domain.
- Provide expert advice and coaching as a trusted partner with the Product Groups across the full range of Sustaining Capital Project Management practices, including; studies, engineering, procurement & contracts, planning & scheduling, cost estimation, project controls, construction, project risk, project HSE, commissioning, operational readiness and project governance & assurance.
- Provide expert advice and coaching as a trusted partner with the Product Group on Sustaining Capital portfolio management and capital planning practices, including benchmarking, assurance, reporting and continuous improvement to improve capital efficiency and effectives.
- Support the Manager Sustaining Capital the development of Sustaining Capital practices including the full range of projects management practices; studies, engineering, procurement & contracts, planning & scheduling, cost estimation, project controls, construction, project risk, project HSE, commissioning, operational readiness and project governance & assurance.
- Support the Manager Sustaining Capital with the development of portfolio management and capital planning practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate the Sustaining Capital technology strategy into broader asset management and operations processes.
- Support the custodianship of Rio Tinto’s Sustaining Capital Procedure and related guidelines.
What you’ll bring
- Extensive experience in managing sustaining capital projects and/or capital portfolios within the mining, metals and minerals or other resource industry.
- Strong understanding of the integration of people, process and systems/technology for capital projects.
- Strong understanding of the integration of engineering, asset management, project management, capital portfolio management, finance, risk and the investment decision-making processes.
- Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams and drive strategic initiatives.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to develop and implement effective strategies for capital project management.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and complex organizational environment.
