We are looking for a Co-Ordinator: SP&L Shut, to provide leadership and coordination of planning function such as work assessment, planning and scheduling function to ensure effective support to the RBM’s SP&L.

Reporting to the Manager: RMM and working in a collaborative community within the SP&L Engineering team, you will:
- Providing and managing a comprehensive work assessment, planning and scheduling service to designated service sections
- Periodically assess the general quality of codes, numbers and classifications schemes to ensure that these will maximally contribute to quality management reporting
- Responsible for compliance on reporting. Rio Tinto compliance and corrective actions
- Coordinating the development of the annual operational level maintenance budget based on zero based budgeting (ZBB)
- Supporting the Plant Engineer to achieve his set objective for the area.
- Assist Plant Engineer with the coordination of Shutdown Management.
- To promote mutual support and sharing of knowledge across all sections.
- To periodically assess the general level of planning services provided, by formally as well as informally discussing it with production management, and thereby stimulating continuous service improvement.
- Supervise and control the activities, standards of performance and behaviour of designated support staff.
- Provide guidance and leadership to enable team to carry out tasks safely and professionally.
What you’ll bring
- A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
- National Diploma or Btech in Engineering discipline recommended (Please attach)
- Valid South African EB License (Please attach a VALID copy)
- Minimum of 5 years’ work experience as a supervisor in an operational environment (Must be visible on CV)
- 10years appropriate industrial experience in mining, engineering maintenance, planning (Must be visible on CV)
- General understanding of Mechanical and Electrical equipment within a Heavy mining environment.( Must be visible on CV)
- Sound understanding of asset management strategies and maintenance practices with exceptional skills in SAP and the Project Management (Must be visible on CV).
