The Compliance Manager for Employee Support & Payroll Services would be a part of the Risk, Control and Compliance Team. The role will be entrusted with the following key responsibilities.

Design, implementation, and monitoring of the Rio Tinto Control Framework across Employee Support & Payroll Services
-
Establish and manage the compliance governance structure to oversee progress and priorities
-
Act as a central point of expertise and coordination for all compliance related activities across Employee Support & Payroll Services.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a high achiever and/or experienced leader who is keen to take up or further improve their leadership skills and lead the team to achieve the business outcome. It will be based out of Gurgaon location.
The role will be reporting to Director – Risk Control & Compliance
What would you be responsible for:

Lead and review the risk assessments
-
Partner with process and control owners to design and document effective internal controls
-
Review and monitor RaCMs to ensure accuracy and completeness
-
Identify gaps in the control environment, propose remediation strategies, and monitor timely resolution of issues
-
Coordinate with Internal and external auditors to ensure seamless execution of audit activities for Employee Support & Payroll Services.

Manage the remediation process, including root cause analysis, remediation planning, and follow-up testing for deficiencies
-
Serve as a trusted advisor to control owners, senior management and functional leaders on compliance matters
-
Facilitate cross-department collaboration to integrate control requirements into day-to-day business operations

Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees awareness on Risk and Compliance related matters

What experience, skills and qualifications are required:
-
A master’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. CA degree or equivalent will be desirable.

Proven experience of 15 + years in Risk Management, Internal audit, SOX Compliance program, Controls and Assurance

Strong knowledge of payroll, employee data management, and related financial processes
-
Ability to build and maintain relationships with operations team, leadership, and other key stakeholders

Experience in handling audit coordination and support with internal and external auditors

Experience of transformational/ continuous improvement projects

Experience of handling large volumes of data and performing data analytics preferred

Operational knowledge of payroll systems desirable
-
Ability to work with and influence different levels of management

Good communication and presentation skills
