About the role
We have exciting opportunities for experienced Talent Acquisition Partners to join our Brisbane team based in our centrally located office in the CBD. These opportunities provide recruitment support to business leaders across multiple portfolios, partnering with wider teams across the APAC region.
Your remit will be to engage with talent across the mining industry, focusing on increasing diversity within our operations, brokering talent to the business and engaging in pro-active sourcing strategies to attract the best talent.
Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Lead, you will:
- Identify key talent within the mining industry and proactively build and engage with your talent pools
- Establish, develop and maintain partnerships with key stakeholders to ensure clarity of strategy and the translation of this into an effective recruitment strategy
- Embed yourself into the community at multiple sites within the business to bring to life the Rio Tinto values in the towns we operate in
- Facilitate and support end-to-end recruitment activities across multiple sites within the business with a strong focus on people, processes, continuous improvement – for some roles, this will include travel to Rio Tinto sites in Weipa, New Zealand and Tasmania!
- Collaborate with the wider people experience team and business leaders to understand the workforce plan and hiring requirements to ensure sourcing strategies meet the business needs
- Utilise reports and analysis of recruitment activities as a basis for continuous improvement in stakeholder relationship by highlighting concerns/issues and providing appropriate recommendations
- Provide regular pre-defined recruitment and sourcing key performance indicators, metrics and progress updates as required
- Identify and recommend areas for improvement in recruitment and sourcing processes and systems
- Deliver exceptional candidate care to potential employees, ensuring a smooth onboarding process
- Elevate our employer branding through online platforms promoting Rio Tinto as an employer of choice
What you’ll bring
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Significant Internal Recruitment experience or experience with an external agency
- Strong influencing skills and stakeholder management skills
- Sound ability to multi-task and prioritise workloads including ad hoc project work
- Demonstrated experience sourcing hard-to-fill roles in a candidate short market using LinkedIn Recruiter, seek talent search or similar candidate databases
- Experience with enterprise-wide operating recruitment systems, the use of workday would be advantageous
