Acerca del cargo
Buscamos un Especialista de Seguridad, Salud en el Trabajo y Medio Ambiente (HSE) quien tendrá funciones relacionadas con el soporte a la implementación de programas de salud en el trabajo, seguridad y medio ambiente del proyecto Comitá, incluyendo contratistas. Reportando al Superintendente de HSE, Usted estará a cargo de lo siguiente:

Identifica peligros, evalúa riesgos y propone medidas efectivas basados en la jerarquía de controles.

Asiste en la implementación de los sistemas de seguridad de Rio Tinto dentro de su área de responsabilidad y brinda apoyo y experiencia a la operación.

Asiste en la revisión de las exposiciones al riesgo. Recomienda e implementa soluciones para mejorar los estándares de seguridad del personal.
-
Asiste en garantizar el cumplimiento de los requisitos legales, las Políticas y prácticas de la empresa en materia de seguridad.
-
Asiste en la supervisión del desempeño en seguridad dentro de su área de responsabilidad.
-
Asesora activamente a la gerencia de línea sobre problemas críticos y recomienda interacciones que contribuyan a mitigar los riesgos de seguridad.

Asiste en la facilitación de evaluaciones de riesgos de HSE.
-
Trabaja con la gerencia de línea para identificar peligros y encontrar soluciones innovadoras a los problemas de seguridad.
-
Capacita a los líderes de línea (incluidos los contratistas) en todos los asuntos relacionados con la seguridad.
-
Promueve las mejores prácticas de gestión, una cultura de seguridad y de mejora continua inspirando, motivando e influyendo sobre empleados y contratistas.

Proporcionar asesoría y soporte HSE a sus pares, Ops Support, Geología y otras áreas de interés como Social y Comunidades, etc.
-
Supervisa la gestión HSE de las empresas contratistas para garantizar que se implementen de manera eficiente y efectiva las políticas y estándares de Comitá, requerimientos contractuales y requisitos legales aplicables.
Lo que aportará y requerirá para ser considerado en este rol
Para tener éxito en este puesto, deberá contar con:

Compromiso con su seguridad y la del equipo.

Profesional de Ingeniería en Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo, o carreras afines
-
Licencia de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo (SST)
-
Mínimo 5 años de experiencia en proyectos de exploración minera con métodos de perforación en Aire Reverso y/o Diamantina;
-
Sólido conocimiento de legislación de seguridad y sectorial en minería.
-
Licencia de conducir
-
Excelente habilidades de comunicación y redacción con partes interesadas.
-
Estudios complementarios en normas de sistemas integrados de gestión HSES, eje. ISO 14001, 45001 y 9001, deseable.

About the position
We are seeking a HSE Specialist who will be responsible for the implementation and monitoring of occupational health, safety and environment programs in support of the Comitá project, including contractors. Reporting to the Superintendent HSE, you will you will be responsible for the following:

Identifies hazards, assesses risks and proposes effective measures based on the hierarchy of controls.
-
Assist in the implementation the Rio Tinto safety systems and processes within region of accountability and provides support and expertise to the operation.
-
Assist in reviewing safety exposures and current status. Recommends and implements solutions to improve safety standards across the workforce.
-
Assist in ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, company policies and practices with regards to safety standards.
-
Assist in the monitoring of safety performance within region of accountability.
-
Coordinates safety audits on a regular basis and addresses all hazards appropriately.
-
Actively advises the line management of critical issues and recommends interactions which will contribute to alleviating safety risks.
-
Assists in the facilitating of HSE risk assessments.
-
Works with line management to identify hazards and find innovative solutions to safety issues.
-
Coaches line leaders (including contractors) on all safety related matters.
-
Promotes best management practices, a culture of safety, and continuous improvement by inspiring, motivating, and influencing employees and contractors.
-
Provides HSE advice and support to peers, Ops Support, Geology, and other areas of interest such as Communities, etc.

Oversees the HSE management of contractor companies to ensure that Comitá policies and standards, contractual requirements, and applicable legal requirements are implemented efficiently and effectively
What you will bring and require to be considered for this role
To be successful in this position, you must have:
-
A commitment to your safety and that of the team.
-
A degree in Safety and Occupational Health or related fields.
-
Licensed to work as an Occupational Health and Safety professional.
-
Minimum 5 years of experience in mining exploration projects using reverse air drilling and/or diamond drilling methods.
-
Solid knowledge of safety and sector-specific mining legislation.
-
Driver's license.
-
Additional studies in integrated HSES management system standards, e.g., ISO 14001, 45001, and 9001, desirable.
