Au sujet du poste
Nous offrons une opportunité de stage d’automne en approvisionnement à notre Centre de Montréal. Il s’agit d’une opportunité de stage de 4 mois (Janvier à Avril) avec possibilité de débuter plus tôt et terminer plus tard. Votre rôle en tant que stagiaire en approvisionnement consistera à :
- Assister les acheteurs dans leurs tâches quotidiennes
- Répondre aux demandes des requérants
- Émettre des bons de commandes (utilisation de SAP)
- Être attentif(ve) aux opportunités de création de valeur
- Préparer et gérer des appels d’offres
Votre contribution
- Au moins une année complétée du baccalauréat en approvisionnement ou dans un domaine connexe
- Bonne capacité de communication
- Excellentes qualités interpersonnelles
- Esprit d’analyse
- Habilités de négociation
- Habilités d’écoute et bonne capacité d’apprentissage
- Conscient de l’importance de la sécurité au travail
- Maîtriser le français et l’anglais à l’oral et à l’écrit. Rio Tinto est une entreprise mondiale et les fonctions de ce poste exigent une collaboration quotidiennement avec des collègues, des équipes u des partenaires basés à l’extérieur du Québec.

Notre bureau de Montréal est un des sièges sociaux de Rio Tinto et soutient les opérations canadiennes, américaines et autres régions mondiales. Il est le siège social mondial de notre groupe de produit aluminium, chef de file de l’industrie et soutient les activités de production de différents matériaux incluant les diamants, cuivre, fer et autres matériaux industriels. En plus des relations d’entreprises, notre bureau de Montréal regroupe d’autres fonctions comme les achats, ressources humaines, technologies de l’information et finance.

About the role
We are offering a fall internship opportunity in procurement at our Montreal Center. This is a 4-month internship opportunity (January to April) with the possibility of starting earlier and finishing later.
Your role as a procurement intern will consist of:
- Assist buyers in their daily tasks
- Respond to requests from applicants
- Issue purchase orders (use of SAP)
- Be attentive to value creation opportunities
- Prepare and manage calls for tenders
Your contribution
At least one completed year of a bachelor’s degree in procurement or a related field
- Good communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Analytical mind
- Negotiation skills
- Listening skills and good learning ability
- Aware of the importance of safety at work
- Master French and English orally and in writing. Rio Tinto is a global company and the duties of this position require daily collaboration with colleagues, teams and partners based outside of Quebec.

Our Montreal office is one of Rio Tinto’s head offices and supports Canadian, American and other global operations.
