Nous sommes à la recherche d’un(e) Conseiller(ère) en Planification de projets expérimenté(e) pour rejoindre notre équipe à Montréal. Relevant du Gestionnaire Contrôle de projets, vous serez responsable de la planification et de la coordination de projets de construction majeurs.

Relevant du Gestionnaire Contrôle de projets, vous aurez les fonctions suivantes :

  • Planification et coordination de projets de construction majeurs
  • Analyse des informations et prise de décisions basées sur les données recueillies
  • Gestion des données dans des tableaux de bord et autres outils Microsoft Office, en particulier Excel
  • Identification des opportunités d’amélioration pour rationaliser le processus de travail de contrôle de projet
  • Coordination de la mise en place et de l’émission des rapports de coûts, y compris les courbes de contrôle des coûts
  • Développement et mise en œuvre des procédures de gestion des contingences et des changements
  • Mise en place et mise en œuvre des pratiques de mesure de l’avancement des projets
  • Développement des prévisions finales des coûts (FFC) et identification proactive des risques et de leur mitigation
  • Respect des processus, systèmes et outils standardisés
  • Gestion de la relation avec les parties prenantes du contrôle de projet en interne et avec les partenaires contractuels
  • Maintien des relations avec les groupes d’approvisionnement et d’estimation pour assurer l’exactitude des tendances actuelles

Votre contribution

  • Diplôme en ingénierie ou dans un domaine connexe
  • Expérience de 8 à 10 ans en planification de projets de construction majeurs, de plusieurs années et de plus d’un milliard de dollars
  • Connaissance approfondie de la construction sur des projets à long terme
  • Maîtrise de Primavera P6 EPPM est un impératif
  • Maîtrise des outils Microsoft Office, surtout Excel
  • Maitriser le français et l’anglais à l’oral et à l’écrit. Rio Tinto est une entreprise mondiale et les fonctions de ce poste exigent une collaboration quotidiennement avec des collègues, des équipes ou des partenaires basés à l’extérieur du Québec
  • Souci du détail et capacité à travailler de manière autonome

Advisor Project Planner

About the role

Finding better ways to provide the materials the world needs.

We are looking for an experienced Project Planning Advisor to join our team in Montreal. Reporting to the Project Control Manager, you will be responsible for the planning and coordination of major construction projects.

Reporting to the Project Control Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and coordinating major construction projects
  • Analyzing information and making decisions based on collected data
  • Managing data in dashboards and other Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel
  • Identifying opportunities for improvement to streamline the project control work process
  • Coordinating the setup and issuance of cost reports, including cost control curves
  • Developing and implementing contingency and change management procedures
  • Establishing and implementing project progress measurement practices
  • Developing Final Forecast Cost (FFC) and proactively identifying risks and their mitigation
  • Ensuring compliance with standardized processes, systems, and tools
  • Managing relationships with project control stakeholders internally and with contracting partners
  • Maintaining relationships with procurement and estimating groups to ensure the accuracy of current trends

What you’ll bring:

  • Degree in engineering or a related field
  • 8 to 10 years of experience in planning major construction projects, spanning multiple years and over one billion dollars
  • In-depth knowledge of long-term construction projects
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 EPPM is mandatory
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel
  • Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken. Rio Tinto is a global company, and the duties of this position require daily collaboration with colleagues, teams or partners based outside Quebec
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Ability to influence and gather necessary information for project execution
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English
  • Ability to analyze complex information
  • Ability to work under pressure
