Rio Tinto Borates souhaite former une nouvelle équipe de planification intégrée qui aidera l’entreprise à prendre des décisions stratégiques et tactiques de maximisation de la valeur à court et à moyen terme. Nous sommes à la recherche d’un(e) conseiller(ère) principal(e) possédant l’expérience de diriger le processus de développement au sein de l’entreprise. Il s’agit d’une excellente occasion pour une personne hautement compétente, axée sur les résultats et ayant à cœur la création de valeur commerciale.

Dans le cadre de ce poste basé à Boron, à Chicago ou à Montréal, vos principales responsabilités consisteront à développer, à gérer et à exécuter la capacité de planification intégrée du secteur des borates. Une fois mise en place, la capacité optimisera la valeur des actifs à commercialiser, grâce à la planification de l’intégration du système et à la prise de décisions fondées sur les données dans l’ensemble de la chaîne de valeur.

Relevant du ou de la Chef de service, Planification stratégique, Borates, vous travaillerez dans une équipe collaborative et un environnement dynamique au sein du secteur des borates et de l’unité d’affaires Matériaux destinés aux batteries. Vos tâches seront les suivantes :

  • Développer une collaboration efficace avec les parties prenantes clés afin d’établir et de maintenir la connectivité avec les activités qui ont des implications pour la planification intégrée (production, S&OP, approvisionnement, ventes, marketing stratégique, IS&T, finances et autres).
  • Soutenir le processus mensuel S&OP afin d’évaluer les décisions de compromis, par exemple la planification de la production, la planification de la capacité, etc.
  • Soutenir l’évaluation des décisions de type trade-off ayant des implications significatives en termes de valeur dans l’ensemble du RTB, y compris, par exemple, l’allocation de capital, le développement des ressources, la planification de la production.
  • Faire progresser la mise en œuvre du processus SAP de planification de la production sur le site de Wilmington (phase 1-2-3)
    • Travailler avec une équipe interfonctionnelle pour valider/mettre à jour les données de base dans SAP.
    • Soutenir l’équipe de planification des ventes et des opérations dans la planification mensuelle de la production.
    • Faciliter l’intégration des nouveaux processus SAP dans le processus actuel de planification de la production mensuelle.
  • Déployer des systèmes et des outils en collaboration avec des parties prenantes plus larges.
    • Intégrer la planification de la production dans les applications de planification existantes (budget, prévisions, rapports mensuels, etc.).
    • Enregistrer les résultats de la production, tels que les entrées et les sorties, l’utilisation des capacités et le rapprochement des stocks
    • Publier des rapports pour fournir une visibilité à l’entreprise sur les mesures de performance de la chaîne de valeur.

  • Excellentes compétences à créer des présentations PowerPoint de niveau professionnel
  • Excellentes connaissances financières et bon sens des affaires

About the role

At Rio Tinto Borates, we are looking to continue advancing our ongoing Integrated Planning (IP) initiatives. This role is pivotal in supporting the business to make value-maximizing strategic and tactical decisions in the short term and medium term. We are seeking an experienced Principal Advisor to continue leading the process of engraining this capability within the business. This is an excellent opportunity for a high-caliber professional who is results-driven and passionate about delivering business value.

Based in Boron, Chicago or Montreal, your primary responsibilities will be the management and execution of the Integrated Planning capability for the Borates business, with a focus on system integration planning, and data-driven decision-making across the value chain.

Reporting to the Strategic Planning Manager, Borates, you will:

  • Develop close working relationships with key stakeholders to establish and maintain connectivity to business activities that have implications for integrated planning (Production, S&OP, procurement, sales, strategic marketing, IS&T, finance, and others)
  • Support the Sales & Operations Planning monthly processes to evaluate trade-off decisions, for example, production planning, capacity planning, etc.
  • Support the evaluation of trade-off decisions with significant value implications across RTB including, for example, capital allocation, resource development, production planning
  • Progress the production planning SAP process implementation at the Wilmington facility (Phase 1-2-3)
    • Work with cross-functional team to validate/update the Master Data in SAP
    • Support Sales & Operation Planning team with the monthly production planning
    • Facilitate the incorporation of new SAP processes in the current monthly production planning process.
  • Deploy systems and tools in collaboration with broader stakeholders
    • Integrate production planning into existing planning applications (budget, forecast, monthly reports etc.)
    • Record production results, such as inputs and outputs, capacity utilization and inventory reconciliation
    • Publish reports to provide visibility to the business on value chain performance metrics.

  • Deep understanding of value drivers, and ability to drive fact-based problem solving and decision-making

  • Ability to conduct thorough, high-quality analysis to support conclusions and recommendations
  • Excellent ability to clearly articulate business strategy and analysis into tactical actions
  • Ability to manage sensitive, time critical, complex and ambiguous tasks with minimal supervision
  • Excellent PowerPoint, presentation skills to a professional level
  • Strong financial and business acumen
