Nous sommes à la recherche d’un(e) Conseiller(ère) Principal(e), Mobilité Mondiale, pour assurer l’excellence opérationnelle et fournir expertise et conseils en la matière pour la région du Canada atlantique. Le/la candidat/e sera également tenu/e de rehausser la gamme des services de mobilité tout en offrant un solide encadrement professionnel grâce à sa vaste expérience technique et pratique.

Ce poste offre à une personne enthousiaste et travailleuse une excellente occasion de se joindre l’équipe de mobilité mondiale. Cette équipe joue un rôle clé à s’assurer que les bonnes personnes de talent sont mobilisées au bon moment; elle est considérée comme un partenaire d’affaires fiable et un expert en matière de mobilité qui livre un service mondial de gestion des expatriés dans environ 40 pays.

Relevant du Dirigeant, Mobilité, et travaillant au sein d’une équipe diversifiée, vous serez chargé(e) de ce qui suit :

  • Agir comme un partenaire de confiance de l’entreprise en aidant à façonner et à soutenir les priorités et initiatives des gens, pour s’assurer que nos groupes de produits atteignent les résultats d’entreprise souhaités;
  • Gérer efficacement les principaux intervenants, à titre de point d’entrée de la fonction de la mobilité. De plus, vous devrez proposer régulièrement des rapports et des conseils, pour permettre une stratégie liée au groupe de produits et à la mobilité de l’actif;
  • Conseiller l’entreprise et les RH sur l’application adéquate de la politique et offrir de l’orientation sur le choix du type approprié de politiques pour les déplacements d’employés;
  • Assurer la gestion de cas des personnes déployées pendant toute la durée de leur affectation, incluant les séances d’information préalables à l’affectation ou au rapatriement;
  • Travailler en partenariat avec le centre des opérations de Mobilité mondiale en ce qui a trait à la préparation aux affectations, à l’examen et à l’approbation des documents d’affectation et aux activités relatives à la paie;
  • Collaborer avec les principaux intervenants, incluant les fournisseurs tiers, pour s’assurer que la prestation des services de la Mobilité mondiale est adéquate et assurée efficacement aux clients de cette région;
  • Gérer des processus fiscaux complexes; et mobiliser les intervenants pertinents pour réaliser le processus de conformité;
  • Assurer la gouvernance de toutes les exigences relatives aux politiques, aux impôts et à l’immigration.

  • Compréhension approfondie de la rémunération, des avantages sociaux, des estimations de coût des affectations, des bilans, de la feuille de paie et de la méthode de péréquation des impôts des expatriés.
  • Expérience manifeste en résolution de problème dans un contexte législatif hautement complexe couvrant plusieurs compétences.
  • Expérience manifeste en gestion d’affectations internationales.
  • Expérience des processus d’immigration dans l’ensemble de la région, plus particulièrement aux États-Unis.
  • Capacité d’établir de solides partenariats avec nos fournisseurs, tout en surveillant leur conformité et leur prestation de service.
  • Maitriser le français et l’anglais à l’oral et à l’écrit. Rio Tinto est une entreprise mondiale et les fonctions de ce poste exigent une collaboration quotidiennement avec des collègues, des équipes ou des partenaires basés à l’extérieur du Québec.

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Advisor, Global Mobility to deliver operational excellence and provide subject matter expertise and advice for the Atlantic region. You will also be expected to enhance the mobility service lines while providing strong business coaching with your extensive technical and practical experience. 

This role is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic and hardworking individual to join the Global Mobility team. This team plays a key role in ensuring the right talent can be mobilised at the right time and is seen as a trusted business partner and subject matter expert in mobility, delivering a global service managing expatriates in approximately 40 countries.

Reporting to the Manager, Mobility, and working in a diverse team, you will be:

  • A trusted partner to the business, helping to shape and support people priorities and initiatives to ensure our Product Groups meet their business outcomes.
  • Effectively managing key stakeholders as a key point of entry to the Mobility Function. You will also be providing regular reporting and insights to enable Product Group & Asset Mobility-related strategy.
  • Advising the business and HR on the correct application of policy and providing guidance on the selection of the appropriate policy type for employee moves
  • Providing Case Management for assignees throughout the duration of their assignment, including providing pre-assignment and repatriation briefings
  • Working in partnership with the Global Mobility Operations centre in respect of assignment initiations, review and approval of assignment documentation and payroll related activities
  • Working with all key stakeholders, including third party providers, to ensure Global Mobility service delivery is ‘fit for purpose’ and effectively delivered to clients in this region.
  • Managing complex tax processes, engaging with relevant stakeholders to achieve process compliance
  • Ensuring governance and compliance with all policy, tax and immigration requirements
  • Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken. Rio Tinto is a global company and the duties of this position require daily collaboration with colleagues, teams or partners based outside Quebec

What you’ll bring

  • Demonstrated experience with global mobility principles and policies in a complex organisation
  • Strong focus on employee experience throughout the assignee lifecycle
  • In-depth understanding of expat remuneration, benefits, assignment cost estimates, balance sheets, payroll and tax equalisation methodology
  • Demonstrated experience in resolving issues in a highly complex legislative context across multiple jurisdictions
  • Demonstrated experience in managing International Assignments
  • Experience with global immigration processes
  • Ability to build strong partnerships with both our vendors, monitoring their compliance and service delivery
