Nous sommes à la recherche d’un ou d’une Responsable, Gestion des données de projet, pour la région Est de l’Amérique, basé à Montréal, pour fournir et garantir un service de gestion et de contrôle des documents efficace, ponctuel et de qualité tout au long du cycle de vie du projet, et ce, au sein d’équipes dispersées à travers différents fuseaux horaires et régions. Ce rôle fait partie d’une fonction centrale passionnante, soutenant les Grands Projets de Rio Tinto au Canada.

Ce poste représente une excellente opportunité pour une personne orientée vers le travail d’équipe, possédant de solides compétences en engagement des parties prenantes, une expérience en leadership d’équipe et une forte compréhension des processus de contrôle des documents. Le candidat retenu sera également impliqué dans la mise en place des projets, l’engagement et l’intégration des contracteurs, ainsi que dans la mise en œuvre des améliorations continues des processus.

Relevant du Superviseur – Gestion des Données de Projet et travaillant au sein d’une équipe dynamique et collaborative, au sein des Projets Rio Tinto, vous serez amené à :

  • Être responsable de la gestion quotidienne du contrôle des documents pour le Hub de Projets de Montréal.
  • Intégrer, former et fournir un soutien continu aux membres de l’équipe et aux partenaires externes dans l’utilisation des outils et processus de contrôle des documents.
  • Engager les parties prenantes pour assurer une mise en œuvre standardisée des exigences de contrôle des documents.
  • Gérer les documents contrôlés tout au long du cycle de vie du projet pour garantir qu’ils sont sécurisés et prêts à être remis aux Opérations lorsque requis.
  • Assurer la conformité avec les normes de Rio Tinto, les normes externes, et les directives de Gestion et de Contrôle des Documents pour les grands projets.
  • Effectuer des activités d’assurance qualité pour garantir l’exactitude, la classification appropriée et l’identification correcte des documents contrôlés.
  • Fournir aux responsables de projet des rapports réguliers sur l’avancement du contrôle des documents.
  • Collaborer avec l’équipe élargie de Gestion des Données de Projet (PDM) pour identifier et mettre en œuvre des améliorations des processus et des systèmes.

Votre contribution

  • Un engagement envers la sécurité de vous-même et de votre équipe avec une capacité à superviser, gérer et rendre compte de la charge de travail de l’équipe.
  • Une expérience substantielle dans un rôle de contrôle des documents sur des grands projets (minimum 10 ans).
  • Maitriser le français et l’anglais à l’oral et à l’écrit. Rio Tinto est une entreprise mondiale et les fonctions de ce poste exigent une collaboration quotidiennement avec des collègues, des équipes ou des partenaires basés à l’extérieur du Québec.
  • Une expérience préalable dans la gestion de petites à moyennes équipes de contrôle des documents.
  • Excellentes compétences en collaboration et engagement avec les groupes de parties prenantes et les membres de l’équipe.
  • Une expérience antérieure dans l’installation et la gestion de systèmes et processus de Contrôle des Documents.
  • Une expérience préalable dans la mise en place de projets ainsi que dans la clôture et la remise des contrats/projets.
  • Une expérience dans la gestion des fournisseurs, contracteurs et/ou équipes de vendeurs.
  • Capacité à exceller dans un environnement de travail dynamique.

Il serait également avantageux que vous ayez :

  • Une expérience en contrôle des documents tout au long du cycle de vie du projet, depuis l’étude d’ordre de grandeur jusqu’à la remise et la clôture.
  • Une expérience de travail sur des projets sur site ou en soutien à des projets sur site.
  • Une expérience préalable avec InEight Document et SharePoint.

We are looking for a America East Lead Project Document Controller to provide and ensure a proficient, effective, timely and quality document management and control service throughout the Project’s lifecycle, across dispersed teams, time-zones, and geographies, whilst being based in Montreal. This role is part of an exciting central function, supporting the Rio Tinto Major Projects in Canada.

This role is a great opportunity for a team player who has great stakeholder engagement skills, team leadership experience and a strong understanding of Document Control processes. The successful candidate will also be involved in project set up, contractor engagement and onboarding and implementing ongoing process improvements.

Reporting to the Superintendent – Project Data Management and working in an exciting and collaborative team, within Rio Tinto Projects, you will:

  • Be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of document control for the Montreal Project Hub.
  • Onboard, train and provide ongoing support to team members, and external partners, in document control tools and processes
  • Engage with stakeholders to ensure a standard implementation of document control requirements
  • Manage controlled documents through the project lifecycle to ensure documents are safe, secured, and ready to handover to Operations when required
  • Ensure compliance with Rio Tinto, external standards, and Document Management and Control guidance for major projects
  • Undertake quality assurance activities to ensure accuracy and the proper classification and identification of controlled documents
  • Provide project leadership with regular reports on the progress of document control
  • Work with the wider PDM team to identify and implement process and system improvements

What you’ll bring

  • A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team with an ability to oversee, manage and report on the team’s workload
  • Substantial experience in a document control role working on large projects (min 10 years)
  • Previous experience in managing small to medium document control teams
  • Excellent collaboration and engagement skills dealing with stakeholders’ groups and team members
  • Previous exposure in installing and managing Document Control systems and processes
  • Previous experience in project set-up and contract/project close-out and handover
  • Previous experience in managing suppliers, contractors and/or vendor teams
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced work environment
  • Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken. Rio Tinto is a global company, and the duties of this position require daily collaboration with colleagues, teams or partners based outside Quebec.

It will also be beneficial if you have:

  • Document Control experience across the project lifecycle, from Order of Magnitude study to handover and close-out
  • Experience working at or supporting projects on site
  • Prior experience with InEight Document and SharePoint
