Nous sommes à la recherche d’un(e) partenaire d’affaires principal(e), Santé et hygiène qui se joindra à notre groupe Aluminium afin de piloter un programme progressif d’hygiène industrielle et de santé au travail et de jouer rôle important pour façonner notre avenir.

 Il s’agit d’une excellente occasion pour un(e) professionnel(le) expérimenté(e) qui aura la responsabilité de concevoir des activités liées à la santé industrielle et à l’hygiène au travail pour les établissements mondiaux du groupe Aluminium de Rio Tinto.

Relevant de la vice-présidente, Santé, sécurité, environnement et communautés (SSEC) – Aluminium, et travaillant au sein d’une communauté collaborative, d’un environnement stimulant et intéressant, vous aurez les fonctions suivantes :

 Définir la stratégie d’amélioration de la santé au travail et de l’hygiène industrielle pour le groupe Aluminium de Rio Tinto.

  • Diriger l’élaboration et l’application des normes, des lignes directrices et des programmes de santé au travail et d’hygiène industrielle dans les mines de bauxite, les raffineries d’alumine et les usines d’électrolyse du groupe Aluminium de Rio Tinto.
  • Comparer les tendances émergentes dans l’environnement industriel et réglementaire dans le but de les intégrer à long terme dans notre planification et nos pratiques, et soutenir les projets qui visent à améliorer les conditions de travail des employés.
  • Déterminer et prioriser les projets d’investissement clés nécessaires pour réduire les expositions professionnelles et travailler avec le centre de recherche de Rio Tinto Aluminium à développer des processus et à améliorer l’équipement.
  • Faire équipe avec les partenaires d’affaires de Santé, sécurité et environnement (SSE) pour mettre davantage l’accent sur la santé opérationnelle et l’hygiène industrielle au sein des établissements.
  • Diriger l’équipe des experts du groupe Aluminium de Rio Tinto en fournissant du soutien aux membres du personnel responsable de la santé et de l’hygiène sur les sites afin de développer leurs capacités et d’aborder des questions complexes de santé, de médecine et d’hygiène professionnelles.
  • Influencer les dirigeants du groupe Aluminium et ceux des établissements pour favoriser l’alignement et le partage des meilleures pratiques à l’échelle du groupe Aluminium de Rio Tinto.
  • Établir de solides relations collaboratives avec les experts du groupe Rio Tinto afin d’influencer les programmes et les politiques de l’entreprise en matière de santé au travail et d’hygiène industrielle; diriger des mandats mondiaux en leur nom, le cas échéant.

Votre contribution

  • Engagement envers votre sécurité et celle de votre équipe.
  • Attestation d’études supérieures dans le domaine de l’hygiène industrielle, de la santé au travail, de la médecine professionnelle ou dans un domaine connexe
  • Grande expérience dans la conception, l’élaboration et l’exécution de politiques, d’outils et de programmes de santé et d’hygiène
  • Expérience dans le secteur de l’aluminium, des mines ou d’un secteur connexe
  • Capacité éprouvée à communiquer et à collaborer avec les dirigeants ainsi qu’à les influencer
  • Capacité à diriger des équipes de manière efficace et à travailler avec des parties prenantes dans divers fuseaux horaires, pays et territoires
  • Si vous postulez pour le poste basé à Montréal, Québec, maitriser le français et l’anglais à l’oral et à l’écrit. About the role

We are looking for a Senior Business Partner Health & Hygiene to join our Aluminium business, drive a progressive industrial hygiene and occupational health agenda, and play a critical part in shaping our future.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced professional who will be responsible for shaping the Industrial Health and Occupational Hygiene activities for the Rio Tinto Aluminum Group’s global assets.

Reporting to the Vice-President Health, Security, Environment & Communities (HSEC) – Aluminium, you will:

  • Set the occupational health and industrial hygiene improvement strategy for the Rio Tinto Aluminum Group
  • Lead the development and delivery of the occupational health and industrial hygiene standards, guidelines, and programs across the Rio Tinto Aluminum Group’s bauxite mines, alumina refineries and aluminium smelters.
  • Benchmark emerging trends in the industrial and regulatory environment and translate them into the long-term planning, practices, and project support to improve working conditions for employees
  • Identify and prioritize key capital projects required to reduce occupational exposures and work with the Rio Tinto Aluminum Research Centre to develop process and equipment improvements
  • Partner with the operational Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) business partners to improve the focus on occupational health and industrial hygiene within the operations
  • Lead the Rio Tinto Aluminum Group’s team of Subject Matter Experts (SME) providing support to site-based health and hygiene staff members to develop capability and to address complex health, medical, and hygiene issues
  • Influence the Aluminium senior executives and senior site leaders to drive alignment and best practices sharing across the Rio Tinto Aluminum Group
  • Build a strong liaison and collaborative relationship with the Rio Tinto Group corporate experts to influence corporate programs and policies related to occupational health and industrial hygiene; lead global mandates on their behalf as necessary

What you’ll bring

  • A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
  • Tertiary qualification in industrial hygiene, occupational health, occupational medicine, or a related field
  • Extensive experience in the design, development, and delivery of health and hygiene policies, tools, and programs
  • Industry experience in the Aluminum sector, mining, or related industry
  • Proven ability to engage, influence and collaborate with senior leaders
  • Ability to effectively lead teams and work with various stakeholders across multiple time zones, countries, and jurisdictions
  • If you are applying for the role based in Montreal, Quebec, fluency in French and English, both written and spoken. Rio Tinto is a global company, and the duties of this position may require collaboration with colleagues, teams or partners based outside Quebec
