Au sujet du poste
L’équipe des communications corporatives de Rio Tinto est à la recherche d’un ou d’une stagiaire pour soutenir la fonction Relations avec les médias. Il s’agit d’une opportunité de stage de 4 mois (Janvier à Avril) au Centre de Montréal.
Ce stage sera l’occasion pour toi d’en apprendre davantage sur le fonctionnement d’une équipe de communications intégrée, sur la gestion des communications dans un environnement complexe et de contribuer à la mise en œuvre d’initiatives tant locales que mondiales.
À cette fin, le ou la stagiaire sera appelé(e) à :
- Soutenir Cheffe de service, Relations avec les médiasdans la mise en œuvre des stratégies de communications
Votre contribution
- Étudiant(e) universitaire dans le domaine de la communication ou dans un domaine connexe (p. ex. : relations publiques, communications et marketing, journalisme, sciences sociales, etc.)
- Moins de deux ans d’expérience dans le domaine (locale ou internationale)
- Bonne capacité d’analyse, de recherche et de production de rapports
- Compétences en organisation d’événements divers, en virtuel et en personne
- Compétences en matière de gestion de projets
- Compétences en création de visuels (Canva, PowerPoint)
- Bonne capacité d’analyse et de production de rapports
- Bonne connaissance des médias sociaux (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram)
- Flexibilité et autonomie
- Sens de l’organisation et attention aux détails
- Capacité à travailler sur de multiples mandats simultanément
- Capacité à bâtir un réseau de collaborateurs(trices)
- Maîtriser le français et l’anglais à l’oral et à l’écrit. Rio Tinto est une entreprise mondiale et les fonctions de ce poste exigent une collaboration quotidiennement avec des collègues, des équipes ou des partenaires basés à l’extérieur du Québec.

About the role
Rio Tinto’s Corporate Communications team is looking for three interns to support the Media Relations function. We are offering a 4-months opportunity at our Montréal Hub.
This internship will be an opportunity for you to learn more about how an integrated communications team works, how to manage communications in a complex environmen and contribute to the implementation of both local and global initiatives.
As an intern, you will:
- Support the Manager, Media Relations in the implementation of communications strategies.
Your contribution
- University student in communications or related field (e.g., public relations, communications and marketing, journalism, social sciences etc.)
- Less than two years of experience in the field (Local and international)
- Good analytical, research and reporting skills
- Event organization skills, both virtual and in person
- Project management skills
- Visual creation skills (Canva, PowerPoint)
- Good analytical and reporting skills
- Good knowledge of social media (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram)
- Flexibility and autonomy
- Organizational skills and attention to details
- Ability to work on multiple mandates simultaneously
- Ability to build a network of collaborators
- Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken. Rio Tinto is a global company and the duties of this position require daily collaboration with colleagues, teams or partners based outside Quebec.
