Nous cherchons un(e) Consultant(e) pour rejoindre l’équipe de PACE Consulting. Ce poste a pour fonction de supporter nos clients chez Rio Tinto dans l’exécution de projets pérennes et à forte valeur ajoutée, en combinant le savoir-faire de PACE en matière de consultation avec les connaissances et l’expérience opérationnelles de Rio Tinto. Relevant du Directeur Général de PACE pour le Hub de Montréal, vous :

Travaillerez avec des leaders de Rio Tinto afin de :

  • Prendre en charge et d’exécuter les chantiers assignés
  • Examiner les faits pour découvrir les messages clés et les opportunités d’amélioration
  • Traiter de grandes quantités de données de manière efficace et structurée
  • Développer des hypothèses visant à l’amélioration de l’entreprise
  • Remettre en question de manière constructive le statu quo et contribuer aux stratégies visant à optimiser les performances de l’entreprise
  • Partager activement et respectueusement votre point de vue dans un contexte de multiples parties prenantes
  • Planifier de manière proactive les activités du chantier dans le cadre du projet
  • Préparer les documents et la synthèse des résultats pour une communication efficace
  • Participer aux ateliers et activités clés assignées dans le projet
  • Accompagner les personnes travaillant sur le projet pour animer et pérenniser les méthodes et pratiques 
  • Ferez preuve d’autonomie tout en étant un joueur d’équipe clé 
  • Livrerez des résultats à l’organisation et vous vous assurerez que les plans de mise en œuvre pour soutenir vos recommandations sont en place 
  • Vous assurerez que tout le matériel et les documents sont correctement saisis dans le système de gestion des connaissances de PACE 
  • Partagerez les bonnes pratiques au sein du groupe de clients mondial de PACE en collaboration avec l’équipe de direction de PACE

Votre expérience parle pour elle-même et démontre vos normes élevées et votre solide éthique professionnelle. Vous possédez:

  • Un baccalauréat dans une discipline pertinente.
  • De 1 à 3 ans d’expérience dans la direction de projets de consultation dans une société d’experts-conseils de haut niveau ou de projets complexes dans un environnement d’entreprise 
  • Une expérience démontrée à conduire des analyses en utilisant des données provenant de diverses sources, et une aisance à interpréter des résultants complexes permettant d’identifier des opportunités d’amélioration 
  • Une capacité avérée à exercer un jugement critique et de remettre en question les idées préconçues 
  • De l’expérience dans la gestion de projets et du changement 
  • Maitriser le français à l’oral et à l’écrit et connaissance de base de l’anglais. Rio Tinto est une entreprise mondiale et les fonctions de ce poste pourraient exigés une collaboration avec des collègues, des équipes ou des partenaires basés à l’extérieur du Québec.

Créé à la fin de 2017, PACE est le groupe de consultation en gestion interne de Rio Tinto (« PACE Consulting ») qui opère dans le Groupe Finance. Il est composé d’une équipe d’environ 40 personnes travaillant dans des équipes de consultation colocalisées dans chacun de nos hubs. L’objectif de PACE est « d’accélérer la création d’une valeur pérenne chez Rio Tinto grâce à notre modèle unique à impact élevé ». À un niveau fondamental, PACE aide Rio Tinto à s’approprier et à résoudre ses problèmes d’affaires critiques en interne.

About the role

We are looking for a Consultant to join the PACE Consulting team. The purpose of this position is to ensure that PACE accelerates the delivery of lasting value to our clients at Rio Tinto by combining PACE’s consulting know-how and internal business knowledge and experience. Reporting to the GM PACE Montreal Hub, you will:

Work directly with leaders from across Rio Tinto to:

  • Own & drive delivery of assigned workstreams
  • Review facts to uncover key messages and opportunities for improvement
  • Process large quantities of data in an efficient & structured manner
  • Develop hypothesis for areas of opportunity or improvement
  • Constructively challenge status-quo and provide input into strategies to optimize the business performance
  • Actively and respectfully share your point of view in a multi stakeholder context
  • Proactively plan workstream activities within the context of the project
  • Prepare documents and synthesis of results for effective communication
  • Participate in key workshops and activities as assigned in the project
  • Support those working on the project to lead and sustain the methods and practices
  • Demonstrate autonomy while being a key team player
  • Deliver results to the organization and ensure the implementation plans to support your recommendations are in place
  • Ensure all material and documents are appropriately captured in PACE’s knowledge management system
  • Recommend cross-fertilization of practices across PACE’s global client group in collaboration with the PACE leadership team

About you

Your previous work experience speaks for itself and demonstrates your focus on high standards and a strong work ethic. You must have:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
  • 1-3 years of consulting experience in a top-tier consulting firm or complex, company-wide projects within a corporate environment
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting analysis, ensuring accurate and updated data from varying sources and interpreting complex results to find key opportunities
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise critical thinking and challenge pre-established conceptions
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with wider organization, from senior leaders to front-line staff
  • Experience in project management and change management
  • Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken. Rio Tinto is a global company and the duties of this position require daily collaboration with colleagues, teams or partners based outside Quebec.

Established in late 2017, PACE is Rio Tinto’s internal management consulting (‘PACE Consulting’) that operates within the Finance Group. It is comprised of a team of ~40 FTEs operating in co-located consulting teams in each of our operating hubs. PACE’s purpose is to ‘accelerate the creation of lasting value at Rio Tinto through our unique high impact delivery model’. At a fundamental level, PACE supports Rio Tinto to own and solve its critical business problems internally.
