About the role
Advisor – Payroll Services is responsible for overseeing the timely and accurate processing of all payrolls and related queries for a specific region, ensuring compliance with control and policy requirements. This role involves leading and managing teams, driving continuous improvement initiatives, maintaining effective controls, and fostering a positive team culture while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.
What the role entails
Reporting line: Manager- Service delivery ESPS
Scope: Your scope will include (but not limited to) below:
Timely & accurate processing of payrolls:
- Oversee teams responsible for the on-time delivery and accuracy of day-to-day payroll operations, ensuring compliance with local regulatory requirements.
- Overseeing the on-time distribution of payroll files, ensuring accurate payroll payments, timely submission of regulatory tasks, and resolving escalated queries within the agreed SLAs
- Handling escalations and resolving complex issues that arise during the payroll process, providing guidance and support to team members.
- Continuous Improvement and Productivity:
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive process improvements and enhance efficiency in payroll operations.
- Lead and facilitate brainstorming sessions and cross-functional discussions to generate ideas for process enhancements and implement successful initiatives.
Adherence to Control and Compliance requirements:
- Maintaining effective controls and ensuring compliance with internal control standards to minimize errors and risks in the payroll process.
Promote RT3C Values:
- Act as a role model for the RT3C values (Courage, Curiosity, Care) within the team and foster a positive and collaborative team culture.
About Yourself
We are looking for passionate candidates having:
- A master’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field required.
- 8+ years of experience in payroll processing or related roles, preferably with experience in overseeing a team
- In-depth understanding of end-to-end US payroll processes, regulations, and payroll policies
- Strong managerial skills with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team. Experience in workload allocation, and performance monitoring.
- Thorough knowledge of compliance requirements and control frameworks related to payroll processing.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
- Experience in using payroll software or systems for data entry, calculations, and generating payroll reports.
- Strong Knowledge of US Taxation – Tax & Payroll forms
- SAP/Workday knowledge will be added advantage
- Should know how to run biweekly, bimonthly payroll and off cycles on SAP
- Pre and post payroll reporting knowledge is must.
