Nous sommes à la recherche d’un conseiller principal ou d’une conseillère principale, Leadership Autochtone qui se joindra à l’équipe mondiale des Relations avec les Autochtones. Vous travaillerez en étroite collaboration avec les équipes des Ressources humaines en fournissant des conseils techniques et en soutenant le développement des capacités pour exécuter la stratégie des Relations avec les Autochtones.
Ce poste est une excellente occasion pour un ou un expert(e) en Relations Autochtones et/ou Ressources humaines de contribuer à l’établissement et à l’exécution de nos initiatives afin de soutenir les activités de Rio Tinto dans la région, dans l’objectif d’améliorer continuellement notre performance sociale au bénéfice de nos employé(e)s Autochtones et nos communautés d’accueil.
Relevant du Responsable des relations avec les populations autochtones, vous aurez les fonctions suivantes :
- Élaborer et exécuter un plan stratégique pour attirer des employé(e)s Autochtones, incluant la valorisation de la marque, le positionnement et une proposition de valeur claire pour les employés(e)s Autochtones.
- Mener un changement de mentalité dans l’ensemble de l’entreprise, en veillant à ce que la culture du lieu de travail respecte et valorise le leadership et la contribution des autochtones.
- Établir des partenariats externes clés pour soutenir l’exécution des livrables du programme d’attraction et collaborer en interne afin de tirer parti des partenariats existants pour mettre l’accent sur le leadership Autochtone.
- Rechercher des candidat(e)s qualifié(e)s et les informer des postes à pourvoir, du programme Transferable Pathways et des mesures de placement proactif.
- Entretenir des relations positives avec l’équipe de haute direction, ainsi qu’avec les partenaires d’Acquisition de talents et les partenaires d’affaires des Ressources humaines, afin d’être en mesure de comprendre et d’anticiper les besoins émergents en matière de recrutement et de définir les possibilités pour les employé(e)s, y compris les mouvements de personnel.
- Rechercher, analyser et utiliser les données du marché externe, les méthodes de recherche de candidat(e)s, les tendances, les études comparatives et les meilleures pratiques à suivre pour élaborer et adapter les stratégies de dotation en ressources.
- Travailler avec les représentant(e)s et les communautés Autochtones, ainsi qu’avec d’autres parties prenantes et nos partenaires clés, afin de repérer et de soutenir les candidatures Autochtones de manière proactive.
- Créer des bassins de talents Autochtones composés de candidat(e)s à des postes professionnels et de direction, y compris des bassins de talents internes, des recommandations de candidat(e)s, des placements, des listes permanentes de statuts d’emploi et de possibilités de développement.
- Mettre au point un programme d’intégration culturelle pour aider les gestionnaires à offrir une expérience inclusive aux employé(e)s Autochtones.
- Mettre en place des programmes qui favorisent le maintien des employé(e)s dans les régions et qui complètent les offres existantes en matière de maintien et de développement des gestionnaires et des employé(e)s Autochtones.
- Encadrer les gestionnaires pour s’assurer que les systèmes et les initiatives internes en place répondent aux besoins et soutiennent la croissance du leadership
Votre contribution

- Expérience de travail avec les communautés autochtones et les parties prenantes
- Capacité à intégrer les perspectives culturelles indigènes dans le travail de la fonction.
- Expérience en recrutement et/ou en gestion des talents, incluant l’élaboration de stratégies de recherche de candidat(e)s à des postes professionnels et de chef(fe) de service.
- Solide connaissance des techniques de recherche de candidat(e)s sur les médias sociaux et les plateformes professionnelles, ainsi que des logiciels et des réseaux d’acquisition de talents.
- A l’aise avec les décisions basées sur les données et l’utilisation des données pour façonner une histoire
- Connaissance approfondie des politiques, des programmes et des applications de RH.
- Capacité à prendre des décisions fondées sur les données et à utiliser les données pour rédiger une histoire.
- Détermination et esprit stratégique afin d’influencer l’équipe de haute direction et les partenaires clés pour opérer des changements à l’échelle d’une organisation en réseau.

Principal Advisor Indigenous Leadership (Attraction and Retention)

About the role

We are looking for a Principal Advisor Indigenous Leadership to join the Global Indigenous Relations team. You will work closely with site-based Communities and Human Resources teams to guide Indigenous Relations and Communities and Social Performance practice by providing technical advice and supporting capability development to deliver on the Indigenous Relations strategy.
This is a great opportunity for an Indigenous Relations and/or Human Resources expert to support the establishment and execution of Indigenous Relations initiatives in support of the Rio Tinto businesses across the region, with the objective of continually improving our social performance and benefit to Indigenous employees and host communities.
Reporting to the Senior Manager Indigenous Relations you will:
- Develop and execute a strategic plan to attract Indigenous employees, including branding, positioning and a clear Indigenous Employee Value Proposition (IEVP).
- Lead a mindset change across the business, ensuring we have a workplace culture that respects and values Indigenous leadership and contribution
- Establish key external partnerships to support the Attraction program’s deliverables and collaborate internally to leverage existing partnerships for an Indigenous leadership focus.
- Sourcing and engaging with qualified candidates to connect to current open roles as well as transferable pathways and proactive placements.
- Maintaining positive relationships with senior leaders, Talent Acquisition Partners, and Human Resources Business Partners to understand and anticipate emerging talent needs and identify opportunities, including talent moves for employees.
- Researching, analysing, and utilising external market data, sourcing methods, trending, benchmarking, and best practice to develop and flex resourcing strategies
- Work with Indigenous representatives and communities, other stakeholders and our key partners to proactively identify and support Indigenous candidates.
- Build talent pipelines for Indigenous professional and leadership candidates including internal talent pool, candidate referrals, employment placements, ongoing employment status and development opportunities.
- Develop cultural onboarding program to support leaders in providing a culturally inclusive experience for Indigenous employees.
- Deliver relevant programs to drive retention across the regions that complement existing offerings to retain and develop Indigenous leaders and employees.
- Coach leaders to ensure existing internal systems and initiatives reflect the needs to support Indigenous leadership growth within our business.
What you’ll bring

- Experience working with Indigenous communities and stakeholders.
- Ability to integrate Indigenous cultural perspectives into the work of the role.
- A background in recruitment, and/or talent management, including experience in developing sourcing strategies for professional and manager-level candidates.
- Solid knowledge of sourcing techniques on social media and professional platforms and talent acquisitor software and networks.
- Comfortable with data-based decisions and using data to shape a story
- Significant experience in understanding of HR policies, programs and the application

- Driven and strategic thinker with an ability to influence senior leaders and key partners to enact change across a networked organization
