We are looking for an IS&T Business Partner, Commercial to drive maximum value for their investment in information technology and systems, leveraging existing assets and emerging technologies to enable the business strategy; management of the Commercial business relationships and demand and creation of aligned end to end IS&T strategy and roadmap in partnership with the Commercial team.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Commercial Business Partnering team to spearhead our business partnering and solution delivery across our Move & Sell (Sales, Marketing, Marine and Logistics) domain.
Reporting to the Senior Manager Commercial, you will:
- Be accountable for the co-development and implementation of the Commercial Move & Sell IT Strategy, roadmap, and priorities.
- Understand the business vision, strategy, objectives, priorities, and drivers for the Commercial team.
- Collaborate with the Commercial Digital & other IS&T teams on operational business process and technology strategies.
- Drive the extraction of maximum value from technology already in place and promote the use of new technology as required.
- Manage business demand and relationships with stakeholders.
- Manage performance and governance outcomes for Commercials IT programs and projects.
- Accountable for the project execution of the Commercials project portfolio.
- Accountable for the management of relevant IS&T and Commercial governance forums.
- Proactively engage with all relevant IS&T teams (e.g. operations; EA, cyber security) to ensure successful evaluate and deliver great outcomes for our customers.
- Mentor and develop staff using a supportive / collaborative approach: assign accountabilities; set objectives; establish priorities; monitor, evaluate results, provide feedback and coaching; conduct regular performance reviews.
- Manage people and demonstrate the Rio Tinto values at all times.
About you
- Excellent collaboration, influencing and negotiation abilities, particularly with senior leaders.
- Proficient in seamlessly transitioning between strategic planning and execution.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving, including logical and structured decision making.
- Strong ability to deliver projects and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technology innovation initiatives.
- Strong ability to manage ambiguity.
- Demonstrated experience in team Management, including setting objectives and priorities, evaluating results, provide feedback and coaching and supporting career development.
- At least 10 years’ experience:
- In leading and managing technology and software services delivery.
- Strong operational process knowledge and/or experience in Commercial (sales, marketing, logistics and marine)
- Exposure to Lean Portfolio Management and portfolio management for large-scale and diverse organizations, including enterprise solutions like SAP, with a strategic emphasis on driving business transformation.
- Collaborating with multiple stakeholders, in multiple regions / time zones
- Budget management, financial control, and reporting Knowledge of project methodology and common toolsets including agile delivery methods.
