About the role

Finding Better Ways to Provide the Materials the World Needs

We are looking for a Contracts and Procurement Manager to join the Jadar Project and Project Services team for Rio Tinto Projects with a focus on commercial strategy development, contract formation, contract administration, purchase order formation, purchase order administration and claims strategy.

This role is a great opportunity for a seasoned Contracts and procurement professional to influence and ensure project services are maintained and delivered for Rio Tinto’s Jadar Project. You will join a globally connected organisation and work as part of a collaborative, engaged and diverse team. Reporting to the General Manager Project Services and working in a collaborative and exciting environment you will:

  • Lead the contracts and procurement teams on the project
  • Partner with stakeholders to deliver the Rio Tinto Jadar project by ensuring compliance with Rio Tinto Projects systems, policies and procedures.
  • Ensure appropriate company standards, processes and policies are implemented for legal and commercial requirements.
  • Supervise the contract team in bid strategy and commercial risk positioning to ensure internal risk is adequately apportioned.
  • Lead and develop the Jadar Project Contracting Plan (PCP).  Manage the bid, evaluate and award process for execution of the PCP ensuring contract awards meet the timing needs of the project while ensuring PM+ processes are followed, and the outcome is fair and optimal.  Ensuring the management of commercial packages is efficient and effective and any claims are well managed.
  • Lead and develop the Jadar contracts and procurement team to enable optimal performance and deliverables.
  • Problem solving and providing advice to project leaders regarding contracts issues around contractor claims and contracting strategies.
  • Validate project commercial report.
  • Using your project management skills to implement continuous improvement initiatives.

What you’ll bring

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to build effective relationships both within the business and with vendors
  • Degree qualification in Business/Commerce or Engineering or similar
  • Substantial proven experience in contracts and procurement attained within a project environment
  • Thorough understanding of contracts, project controls and project management concepts 
  • Must have excellent communication skills, with fluency in English required

 Vaš nadređeni će biti generalni direktor za projektne usluge a vaše obaveze u uzbudljivom radnom okruženju koje podstiče timski duh podrazumevaju sledeće:

  • Vođenje timova za ugovore i nabavke na projektu
  • Saradnju sa zainteresovanim stranama u realizaciji Projekta „Jadar“ Rio Tinta obezbeđivanjem usklađenosti sa sistemima, politikama i procedurama projekata kompanije Rio Tinto.
  • Obezbeđenje primene odgovarajućih standarda, procesa i politika kompanije za pravne i komercijalne zahteve.
  • Nadziranje rada tima za ugovore u pripremi strategija nabavke i procenu rizika imajući u vidu dimenziju internog rizika.
  • Vođenje i razvoj ugovornog plana Projekta „Jadar“ (Jadar Project Contracting Plan – PCP). Upravljanje, procenu i odabir ponuda kako bi izabrani ponuđači pravovremeno ispunili potrebe projekta uz primenu procesa upravljanja projektnim aktivnostima i postizanje odgovarajućih i optimalnih rezultata. Efikasno i uspešno upravljanje ugovornim paketima i žalbama.
  • Vođenje i razvoj tima za projektne usluge Projekta „Jadar“ za postizanje optimalnih rezultata i učinka.
  • Rešavanje problema i savetodavne usluge za rukovodioce projekta i pitanja kontrole projekta, uključujući upravljanje troškovima i rezultatima projektima, raspored aktivnosti i ugovornih pitanja u vezi za žalbama izvođača radova i ugovaračkim strategijama.
  • Verifikaciju komercijalnih izveštaja projekata.
  • Primenu veština na upravljanju projektima u realizaciji stalnih inicijativa za unapređenje.

  • Izuzetne komunikacione veštine, uz neophodno tečno poznavanje engleskog jezika
