About the role
Finding better ways to provide the materials the world needs.
We are looking for a Permitting advisor to provide support for the permitting process in accordance with the applicable Serbian legislation, focusing primarily on the submission of required documentation to the regulators.
Reporting to the Principal Permitting Advisor, you will be:
- Coordinate the process for applying and acquiring permits and approvals required for the development of the Jadar Project.
- Working with the relevant area managers, coordinate the following key permits and approvals: spatial planning process, environmental impact assessment, water permit, construction permits, and usage permits required throughout the project development process.
- Support the responsible permitting owners to adhere and align to the requirements set forth under the Espoo and Aarhus Conventions.
- Draft and prepare all required documents and reports for obtaining and extending the permits.
- Prepare documents required for public consultations associated with the permitting process in cooperation with the External Affairs.
- Monitor and report on progress, performance, and key risks and issues associated with the implementation of the permitting action plan.
- Work closely with the Rio Tinto scheduling team providing information about the current status of the activities in accordance with the Project Master Schedule.
- Working closely with External Affairs, interface with government and other external stakeholders required to facilitate the effective delivery of the required activities for the permits and approvals.
What you’ll bring
- University degree, technical faculty is desirable.
- Extensive experience of working or advising on permitting aspects of large infrastructure or capital projects under the jurisdiction of several ministries.
- Proven experience of building both y, at all levels.
- Extensive experience and knowledge of the Serbian Law on Planning and Construction, Mining, Environment and other relevant planning policies and laws.
- Experience in coordination of development of plan and urbanistic documentation (spatial plan, plan of detail regulation, urbanistic project etc.)
- Understanding of different level of technical documentation required for different level of permits
- Knowledge of the requirements, and experience in the process for adhering and complying to international conventions, in particular the Espoo and Aarhus Conventions is desirable.
- Previous mining industry experience is desirable.
- Strong language and communication skills.
- Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated experience in solving challenging technical problems.
- Ability to approach problems innovatively and laterally
- Multi-lingual (Serbian and English)

Zapošljavamo savetnika za ishodovanje dozvola i odobrenja koji će učestvovati u procesu ishodovanja dozvola i odobrenja u skladu sa važećim srpskim zakonima, fokusirajući se prvenstveno na podnošenje tražene dokumentacije regulatornim telima.
Vaš nadređeni će biti glavni savetnik za ishodovanje dozvola i odobrenja a vaša zaduženja podrazumevaju sledeće:
- Koordinaciju procesa podnošenja zahteva i ishodovanja dozvola i odobrenja koja su neophodna za dalji razvoj Projekta „Jadar“.
- Podrška nosiocima dozvola i odobrenja koji treba se pridržavaju i usklađuju aktivnosti sa zahtevima predstavljenim u Espoo i Arhuskoj konvenciji.
- Priprema i izrada svih traženih dokumenata i izveštaja neophodnih za ishodovanje i produženje važećih dozvola.
- Priprema dokumentacije neophodne za javni uvid u vezi sa procesom ishodovanja dozvola i odobrenja u saradnji sa Timom za eksterne poslove.
- Nadzor i izveštavanje o napretku, rezultatima i ključnim rizicima kao i potencijalnim problemima u vezi sa realizacijom aktivnosti na ishodovanju dozvola i odobrenja.
- Bliska saradnja i razmena informacija sa Timom odgovornim za dinamiku izvođenja aktivnosti kompanije Rio Tinto u vezi sa trenutnim statusom planiranih aktivnosti.
- Bliska saradnja sa Timom za spoljne poslove, koordinacija aktivnosti sa Vladom Srbije i drugim eksternim zainteresovanim stranama i efikasnost u postizanju rezultata za ishodovanje dozvola i odobrenja.
Šta ova pozicija zahteva
- Fakultetska diploma; poželjna je diploma iz tehničkih nauka
- Bogato iskustvo u radu ili pružanju savetodavnih usluga koje se tiču aktivnosti na ishodovanju dozvola i odobrenja ili kapitalnim projektima koji su u nadležnosti različitih ministarstava
- Iskustvo u radu poštujući Zakon o planiranju i izgradnji, kao i Zakon o rudarstvu i geološkim istraživanjima
- Bogato iskustvo i temeljno poznavanje Zakona o planiranju i izgradnji, Zakona o rudarstvu, Zakona zaštite životne sredine i drugih relevantnih politika planiranja i zakona Republike Srbije.
- Iskustvo u koordinaciji razvoja plana i urbanističke dokumentacije (prostorni plan, plan detaljne regulacije, urbanistički projekat itd)
- Razumevanje detaljne tehničke dokumentacije koja je neophodna za ishodovanje različitih dozvola i odobrenja
- Poznavanje neophodnih zahteva i iskustvo u procesu primene i usaglašenosti sa međunarodnim konvencijama, naročito sa konvencijama Espoo i Arhus.
- Prethodno iskustvo u rudarskoj industriji je poželjno
- Izražena sposobnost timskog rada i saradnje sa ljudima
- Iskustvo u rešavanju izazovnih tehničkih problema
- Sposobnost pristupa problemima na inovativan način i konstruktivan način razmišljanja
- Izuzetne komunikacione veštine, uz neophodno tečno poznavanje engleskog jezika
