Nous sommes à la recherche d’un ou d’une chef de service Stratégie et solutions de rémunération pour participer à la conception et à la mise en œuvre des politiques et des programmes de rémunération de Rio Tinto. La personne sélectionnée pour le poste sera basé(e) à Montréal. Les stratégies et les systèmes adoptés chez Rio Tinto pour rémunérer le personnel de tous les niveaux sont essentiels pour attirer, retenir et mobiliser des talents hautement compétents.

Relevant du ou de la chef de service principal(e), Stratégie et solutions de rémunération, vous aurez les responsabilités suivantes :

  • Diriger une petite équipe de spécialistes pour soutenir le déploiement des programmes de rémunération mondiaux.
  • Assurer la direction quotidienne des projets, en veillant à ce que le cycle annuel des activités progresse conformément aux objectifs, au budget, au calendrier, aux livrables et aux standards de qualité définis.
  • Travailler en partenariat avec les domaines appropriés des ressources humaines afin de fournir à l’entreprise des solutions et des systèmes de rémunération stratégiquement alignés.
  • S’assurer que les politiques, les pratiques et les programmes soutiennent l’entreprise tout en étant harmonisés avec les pratiques et processus de Rio Tinto à l’échelle mondiale et régionale.
  • Fournir des conseils sur l’application de la politique et des processus de rémunération de Rio Tinto à l’échelle de l’entreprise.
  • Superviser les études de marché et les analyses financières, et émettre des recommandations.
  • Mettre en œuvre des programmes de formation et de communication à l’intention des directeurs et d’autres employés.
  • Superviser toutes les activités internes en lien avec la conformité aux lois en vigueur en matière de rémunération.
  • Communiquer et coopérer avec les autres équipes régionales responsables de la rémunération pour garantir que les pratiques exemplaires sont utilisées, et encourager la collaboration.
  • Établir et entretenir un réseau de contacts pour faciliter l’échange d’information sur la rémunération.
  • Accompagner la mise en œuvre de notre solution technologique RH et fournir de l’information essentielle à titre d’expert ou experte de la rémunération.

Votre contribution 

  • Engagement envers votre sécurité et celle de votre équipe 
  • Vaste expérience dans le domaine de la rémunération et dans une discipline liée à la performance
  • Compétence démontrée dans l’exécution de projets pour des parties prenantes de haut niveau, des clients, des chefs d’entreprises et d’autres entités de la structure des ressources humaines
  • Capacité de réflexion critique avec une mentalité d’équipe mondiale unifiée, et capacité à créer des solutions pratiques adaptées à une entreprise mondiale
  • Vastes connaissances des principes et philosophies les plus à jour en matière de ressources humaines, ainsi que des lois régissant la rémunération (analyse des emplois, prix du marché, analyse de marché, conception de plans de rémunération fixe et variable)
  • Expérience dans l’utilisation des systèmes d’information des RH (HRIS), y compris des outils et plateformes Web de gestion de la performance
  • Capacité à encadrer, influencer et guider une petite équipe de spécialistes en rémunération
  • Maîtrise du français et de l’anglais à l’oral et à l’écrit, si vous postulez le poste basé à Montréal, Québec. About the role

Finding better ways to provide the materials the world needs. 

We are looking for a Manager Remuneration Strategy & Solutions based in Montreal to support the design and execution of Rio Tinto Remuneration policies and programs. The strategies and systems adopted at Rio Tinto to remunerate employees at all levels is critical in being able to attract, retain and mobilize high calibre individuals.

Reporting to the Senior Manager – Remuneration Strategy & Solutions, you will be responsible to:

  • Lead a small team of specialists to support the roll-out of global remuneration programs.
  • Act as a day-to-day project lead, ensuring the annual cycle of activities progresses against established objectives, budget, timeline, deliverables and quality standards.
  • Partner with the appropriate human resource area to deliver strategically aligned reward solutions and systems to the business.
  • Ensure policies, practices and programmes support the business while aligning with Rio Tinto global and regional practices and processes.
  • Provide advice on the application of Rio Tinto reward policy and processes to the business.
  • Lead market research, financial analysis and make recommendations.
  • Implement training and communication programs for managers and other employees.
  • Lead all internal activities in relation to compliance with applicable remuneration related legislations.
  • Liaise and partner with other regional remuneration teams to ensure best practices and cross-collaboration.
  • Establish and maintain key network of contacts to facilitate the exchange of remuneration information.
  • Support with the implementation of our HR technology solution and provide key input as a reward SME. 

What you’ll bring 

  • A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
  • Extensive experience in remuneration, performance related discipline
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering projects for senior stakeholders, clients, business leaders, other parts of the HR structure
  • A pragmatic thinker with a one global team mindset who can create practical solutions tailored for a global business
  • Extensive knowledge of contemporary HR principles, philosophies, and relevant laws/regulations governing remuneration (job analysis, market pricing, market analysis, fixed and variable compensation plan design)
  • HRIS experience, including experience with web-enabled performance management tools and/or platforms
  • Ability to coach, influence and mentor a small team of remuneration and reward experts
  • If you are applying for the role based in Montreal, Quebec, fluency in French and English, both written and spoken. Rio Tinto is a global company, and the duties of this position may require collaboration with colleagues, teams or partners based outside Quebec
