We are looking for a Specialist – Cyber Security Technical Assurance to improve Rio Tinto’s Cyber Security's posture.

Reporting to the Manager Cyber Security Technical Operations, and working in a collaborative, exciting environment within our global Cyber Security team, you will:
- Work together in partnership with the business and with IT service owners to ensure security posture is consistently maintained and improved.
- Actively involved in the design, implementation and delivery of Cyber Technical Assurance services designed to safeguard the company’s Enterprise and Industrial and Operational Technology assets.
- Be directly involved in the Change management process for any change affecting security controls for both regional and global changes.
- Actively involved in the continuous improvement of Cyber Security Assurance by ensuring:
- Firewalls and other Security appliances are securely configured, and risks are responded to in a timely manner.
- Vulnerabilities in systems and software are identified and remediated. Plans are established and tracked to finalisation.
- Enterprise and I&OT systems are patched, reported on and tracked on a per region basis.
- Monitor I&OT operational security posture and identify compliance issues and risks for escalation with service owners or risk management functions.
What you’ll bring

- Excellent collaboration and influencing abilities regarding Cyber Security solutions.
- Strong ability to deliver and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technology innovation initiatives.
- Strong Cyber operational process knowledge and/or experience (Firewalls, Patching, AV, EDR etc).
- Working with stakeholders , in multiple regions / time zones
- Experience in vendor and stakeholder management.
- Degree qualified or higher in IT, Engineering or Cyber Security or equivalent related experience.
- Certifications like GCIA, GCIH and CISSP (or equivalent) desirable.
It would also be beneficial if you had:
- Experience working in a global organization and large IT environments following ITIL processes, such as change control and incident management.
- A foundational knowledge of Industrial Control Systems (ICS) technologies and protocols.
