Nous sommes à la recherche de conseillers principaux SPS qui se joindront au Bureau du SPS Global afin d’apporter des améliorations systématiques au triple résultat (aspects humains, environnementaux et financiers) de Rio Tinto. Vous ferez partie de l’équipe D&T – SPS Global et travaillerez en partenariat avec nos groupes de produits afin d’aider nos employés à obtenir une meilleure performance à titre d’exploitants minier et de leaders, vous contribuerez à rendre nos activités plus sûres, plus fiables et plus productives. C’est ce que fera le SPS global en élaborant et en soutenant la mise en œuvre du système de production sécuritaire de Rio Tinto et en travaillant en partenariat avec les groupes de produits pour entreprendre et soutenir leur démarche d’amélioration.

Relevant du directeur général ou de la directrice générale, SPS, Atlantique Est, vous ferez partie d’une équipe de conseillers et d’experts du système de Production Sécuritaire, des outils Lean, du processus Mentalités et Comportement qui incarne et prône l’excellence opérationnelle. Ce poste clé offrira des possibilités de développement de carrière aux personnes qui veulent avoir un impact et apporter des changements concrets.

Ce poste est une excellente occasion pour les membres des équipes opérationnelles et fonctionnelles qui aiment se rendre sur le site et partager des connaissances avec les sites, les groupes de produits et les fonctions. Vous devrez :

  • Améliorer la performance en facilitant les diagnostiques dans les sites et en aidant les leaders (directeurs, chefs de service, surintendants, etc.) à adopter les bons outils et les bons comportements pour réaliser des projets novateurs / durables et atteindre l'Excellence Opérationnelle.
  • Transformer la culture en donnant l’exemple et en fournissant du coaching sur l’attitude inspirée de la méthode Lean ainsi que sur les mentalités et comportements (M&C) SPS.
  • Assurer le perfectionnement des leaders du site ainsi que des équipes EO/AA et du SPS dans leur compréhension et l'application d'un système d'excellence globale, en leur offrant de la formation et du coaching ainsi qu’en facilitant des chantiers complexes.

Votre contribution

  • Démontrer un engagement à l’égard de la sécurité, du respect et de nos trois valeurs fondamentales (bienveillance, courage et curiosité).
  • Posséder une expérience des opérations, de l’entretien et du leadership.
  • Présenter une expérience et/ou intérêt fort à conduire le changement pour faire changer la culture, les Mentalités & Comportements.
  • Démontrer des aptitudes pour l’animation, la formation et le coaching.
  • Une expérience en l’excellence opérationnelle sera un atout important : approche PDCA (Planifier, Déployer, Contrôler, Ancrer), la résolution de problèmes complexes, l’élimination du gaspillages, Kaizen…
  • Agir à tire d’ambassadeurs du changement, en faisant preuve d’une grande capacité à inciter les autres à changer.
  • Être autonome et axé(e)
  • Vous déplacer régulièrement (Amérique du Nord et Australie)

Principal Advisor, Safe Production System (SPS) – Upskilling

  • Upskill the team of operational managers, Business Improvement (BI) teams and safety-centered production teams (SPCT) to achieve operational excellence by instilling the right SPS Mindsets/Behaviors and coaching on a global system
  • Opportunity based in Saguenay.

About the role

We are looking for Principal Advisors SPS to join the Global SPS function to drive systematic improvements to Rio Tinto’s Triple Bottom Line (People, Planet, Profit). Working in the D&T – SPS Gobal team, you will partner with our product groups to helpour people to achieve better performance as operators and leaders and help make our operations safer, more reliable and productive. The Global SPS function will do this by developing and supporting the implementation of the Rio Tinto Safe Production System and partnering with the Product Groups to enable and support their improvement pathway.

Reporting to the General Manager SPS Atlantic  East, You will be part of a team of advisors and experts in the Safe Production system, Lean tools, and the Mindsets and Behaviors process, which embodies and promotes operational excellence.. This key role will provide a career building opportunity for people who want to make an impact and truly make a difference.

This role is a great opportunity for operational and functional team members who thrive on travelling to site and sharing knowledge between sites, product groups and functions. You will:

  • Improve performance by facilitating diagnostics on sites and helping leaders (directors, department heads, superintendents, etc.) adopt the right tools and behaviors to carry out innovative/sustainable projects and achieve Operational Excellence
  • Transform the culture by leading by example and providing coaching on Lean-inspired attitudes as well as SPS mindsets and behaviors
  • Facilitate training sessions (ie: SPS training workshops on Best Practices)
  • Ensure the development of site leaders as well as OE/BI and SPS teams in their understanding and application of a global excellence system by offering training and coaching and facilitating complex projects.

  • Be required to travel regularly (North America & Australia)
