Nous sommes à la recherche d’un ou d’une spécialiste de catégorie, Services RH, qui se joindra à notre équipe Approvisionnement mondial indirect dans un poste permanent pour diriger l’élaboration de la stratégie de catégorie et la gestion du programme de gestion des relations avec les fournisseurs (SRM) pour les avantages sociaux (assurances, régimes de retraite, PAE, reconnaissance et autres récompenses) au sein du portefeuille des Services RH.

La personne titulaire de ce poste contribuera à la création d’une valeur durable et d’un avantage concurrentiel pour le Groupe Rio Tinto à l’échelle mondiale. Relevant de la conseillère principale, Services RH, Approvisionnement mondial, vous travaillerez au sein d’une équipe axée sur la collaboration et aurez les responsabilités suivantes :

  • Élaborer une stratégie mondiale complète de gestion des catégories et diriger sa mise en œuvre, et mettre au point des accords visant à assurer l’excellence commerciale et opérationnelle des établissements mondiaux de Rio Tinto;
  • Établir des relations et collaborer avec les principales parties prenantes internes (sur les principaux sites du groupe au Canada, aux États-Unis, au Royaume-Uni, en Afrique du Sud, en Australie, etc.) en vue de faciliter la mise en œuvre d’initiatives stratégiques clés;
  • Rechercher et mettre à jour les connaissances sur les catégories (y compris les analyses des dépenses et de marché) et les sous-catégories pertinentes afin de déterminer les possibilités d’amélioration en fonction de l’industrie et des études de marché, des priorités de l’organisation, des risques liés à la chaîne d’approvisionnement et des occasions commerciales;
  • Travailler en étroite collaboration avec les spécialistes du sourçage, les Services juridiques, les Finances, les partenaires d’affaires et les experts afin d’offrir à toutes les parties prenantes une expérience Du sourçage au contrat efficace de bout en bout;
  • Élaborer et mettre en œuvre des stratégies de négociation et des plans de communication pour les négociations et les réunions avec les fournisseurs;
  • Mettre en place une structure solide de gestion des relations avec les fournisseurs afin de renforcer les partenariats et la création de valeur pour Rio Tinto et ses partenaires fournisseurs;
  • Ce poste étant mondial, être en mesure de participer à l’occasion à des réunions tôt le matin ou tard le soir avec l’équipe Négociations indirectes et les principaux fournisseurs et parties prenantes.

Votre contribution

Pour que votre candidature soit prise en considération, les exigences sont les suivantes :

  • Engagement à l’égard de votre sécurité et de celle de votre équipe, et passion pour l’approvisionnement et les gens
  • Baccalauréat
  • Au moins huit années d’expérience dans le domaine de l’approvisionnement ou de la chaîne d’approvisionnement, ou dans un domaine connexe
  • Esprit de collaboration et compétences exceptionnelles en mobilisation des parties prenantes
  • Réussite avérée dans des fonctions de gestion de catégories et/ou d’approvisionnement stratégique, de préférence dans la gestion de catégories de dépenses indirectes
  • Capacité à formuler et à présenter des analyses et des analyses de rentabilité à l’appui de stratégies complexes pour des catégories et des sous-catégories
  • Expérience démontrée dans la gestion de projets mondiaux de grande envergure, et capacité à influencer les principales parties prenantes
  • Compréhension des processus d’approvisionnement de bout en bout, y compris des canaux d’achat dirigés par les catégories
  • Solides compétences en négociation et expérience démontrée dans la conduite de négociations contractuelles complexes   
  • Esprit critique et analytique et capacité à concrétiser des idées
  • Gestion du temps efficace et compétences en gestion de projet en vue de concilier de multiples priorités qui se font concurrence
  • Maîtrise de SAP, d’Excel, de Word et de PowerPoint
  • Capacité à travailler de manière efficace et productive avec un haut niveau d’autonomie et de responsabilité individuelles

We are looking for a Category Specialist, HR Services to join our Global Indirect Procurement team for a permanent opportunity to lead the development of category strategy and management of the Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) program for Global Benefits (Insurances, Pensions, EAP, Recognition and others) in the HR Services portfolio.

The role will contribute to the delivery of sustained value and the generation of competitive advantage for Rio Tinto Group globally. Reporting to the Principal Advisor HR Services, Global Procurement, and working in a collaborative team, you will:

  • Develop and lead the implementation of a comprehensive global category management strategy and the development of agreements that deliver commercial and operational excellence to Rio Tinto’s global operations;
  • Build relationships and collaborate with key internal stakeholders (based at the group’s key locations in Canada, US, UK, South Africa, Australia etc.) which enable the delivery of key strategic initiatives;
  • Research and update knowledge of relevant category (including spend analysis and market analysis) and subcategories to identify opportunities for improvement based on industry and market research, organisational priorities, supply chain risk and commercial opportunities;
  • Work closely with sourcing specialists, legal, finance, business partners and SMEs to deliver an efficient end to end source to contract experience for all stakeholders;
  • Develop and execute negotiation strategies and communication plans for supplier negotiations and meetings;
  • Execute a robust supplier relationship management structure to strengthen partnership and value creation for both Rio Tinto and our supply partners;
  • Since this is a global role, be able to participate at times in the early morning / late evening meetings with the Global Indirects team and key stakeholders / suppliers;

About you

To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:

  • Commitment to the safety of yourself and your team combined with a passion for both procurement and people;
  • A Bachelor’s degree;
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in procurement, supply chain or a similar environment
  • Collaborative mindset and exceptional stakeholder engagement skills
  • Demonstrated success in category management and/or strategic sourcing roles, preferably in managing indirect spend categories
  • Ability to formulate and present the analysis and business cases to support complex category and sub-category strategies
  • Proven experience managing large scale global projects with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Understanding of end to end procurement processes including category led buying channels
  • Strong negotiation skills and demonstrated experience leading complex contract negotiations 
  • Ability to apply critical and analytical thinking and drive ideas to fruition
  • Effective time management and project management skills to balance multiple and competing priorities
  • Proficiency in using SAP, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work effectively and productively with an expected high degree of individual autonomy and accountability
  • Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken. Rio Tinto is a global company and the duties of this position require daily collaboration with colleagues, teams or partners based outside Quebec.
