We are looking for a Procurement Specialist to undertake effective and efficient customer engagement, category strategy development support, value delivery, contract implementation and supplier management to satisfy clients’ requirements.
Reporting to the RBM Procurement Business Partner, you will:
- Work with the business to identify, build and translate Supply strategies, be required to meet their objectives with supporting interventions between RTP functions at the department level.
- Be constructively challenging and coaching end users on their supply chain effectiveness and providing feedback to the RTP functions regarding the effectiveness of RTP processes, policies, programmes, and systems
- Provide partnering with the business to deliver projects across a broad spectrum including new regional or global strategies, cost initiatives and improvement activities and supporting leadership to define, build, and improve Procurement strategy and delivery.
- Collaborate with the Global and Regional Category teams and other internal service providers to deliver on identified RTP needs within the business.
- Act as the face of Procurement and be the first point of contact for procurement escalations for assigned business areas, acting as a conduit for all RTP functions to filter needs to and from the business.
- Collect and generate domain knowledge and market analysis regarding the sources and drivers of value creation through supplier partnerships, leveraging on this to deliver value for the business.
- Support the syndication of stakeholders and relationships both internally and externally during the delivery, contract implementation (CMX Key Practice Methodologies) and on-going management of supplier performance and partnerships.
- Take ownership of the Supplier Partnership process and contribute to driving adoption by responsible End Users. This includes the management of governance, reporting, tools and systems relevant to assigned contracts / suppliers.
What you’ll bring
- A minimum of a Degree in Procurement/ Finance/ Operations
- 5 years related work experience in a Procurement environment specifically in the Mining, Manufacturing or heavy industry.
- Experience working in a large, complex organization (i.e., ability to operate independently and under pressure, to perform multiple concurrent tasks and responsibilities, and to deal with changing priorities, while maintaining personal effectiveness)
- Good communication and people skills – daily interaction with Suppliers, clients and procurement team members.
- Computer literate on MS Word, SAP & Excel
- Experience in working within a multi-cultural environment
