About the role
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Advisor – Mine Water Management join our team at West Angelas. This role will see you provide technical assistance, support, and expert advice on continuous improvement and planning practices across on a day-today basis to the MWM leadership team with a focus on statutory requirements. You’ll be part of a friendly team, supported by your leader to grow and achieve your own personal goals as well as the goals of the team.
Reporting to the MWM Superintendent, the role will require you to:
• Adhere to all Rio Tinto standards, policies and procedures
• Collaborate closely with other functions and stakeholders in the performance of duties
• Focus on setting the fortnightly look ahead, providing input into the work schedule and meeting the QPP
• Support the preparation in ensuring the correct equipment is either onsite or ordered
• Key interface of the development of the QPP with WRE and MTS, and the subsequent execution, in particular the daily and 2-week plan
• Support MWM leaders in planning and safely executing works
• Contractor management
• Managing projects relative to mine water management
• Mine Water Management interface for Sustaining capital projects
• Developing Mine stage plans for bottom bench mining/sump pumping
• Review, develop and forecast budgets for mine water management
• MWM planning, prioritising works essential to the mine plan
• Maintain inventory to ensure works can be executed when required
• Collaborate with the maintenance supervisors, OSR team and OEM on asset defects, mid life and end of life rebuilds
• Reviewing and optimising bore hole infrastructure to ensure best utilization of equipment
• Collaborate with the site hydro to analyze data to track performance, close gaps and find opportunities to improve.
• Support and encourage continuous improvement initiatives, including promoting standardization across the PMO
• Develop weekly MWM plan, work closely with MP&E team on PM01 and PM02 scopes ensuring they are relative and provide best efficiency
What you’ll bring
• A current "C Class" WA Manual Driver’s License
• Experience in a similar role with some operational experience
• MTS or experience in active mining environment
• Understanding of CITECT SCADA
• Interpret P&ID/Schematic drawings
• Sound Knowledge in SAP

Located 110km west of Newman, West Angelas operates on a fly in fly out roster from Perth, Busselton or Broome depending on role requirements. Operational since 2002, it was the first site to be incorporated into our Mine of the Future™ programme, trialling autonomous trucks and drills that are now fully embedded into the operations.
