We have a Risk Specialist position available for a professional who is passionate about managing risks across high value capital projects This role is integral to Rio Tinto’s Modern ERP program, and you will recognise the importance of the project meeting its corporate and legal obligations effectively, while securing value-add opportunities.

Reporting to Value and Project Controls Lead and working in a collaborative community within our Modern ERP programme, your key responsibilities will be:
- Driving effective consideration of risk in decision-making processes;
- Providing risk management advice to support projects consider potentially complex problems through a risk lens
- Prepare risk summary reports to be incorporated in stage-gate approvals;
- Supporting the project team by presenting project risks to independent reviewers ahead of stage-gate approvals;
- Articulating project interdependencies risks and communicate with relevant stakeholders;
- Support forums from a risk and assurance perspective, such as senior leader meetings
- Contributing to a one team approach across the program

About Modern ERP
You may know Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) by the name SAP or Rio Tinto Business System (RTBS).
What is our Modern ERP doing? We’re simplifying our systems and redesigning our core business processes across Rio to make it easier for our people to get their job done. We’ll be upgrading our Rio Tinto Business System (RTBS) from old technology to a new version.
To become Best Operator, we need to transform how we operate and how we use technology. A digitally enabled platform means we can access advanced technology, data-driven insights, and automation. We’ll be able to empower our people to do more of the right work, at the right time, and in the right way.
