Commercial Specialist (Molybdenum and By-products)

About the role
Finding better ways to provide the materials the world needs.
We are looking for a Commercial Specialist to execute sales of Molybdenum and some by products from the Precious Metals plant at Kennecott smelter.
The sales process involves all key steps of metal sales – from strategy formation, customer development, relationship management to commercial negotiation, as well as contracting and oversight of execution. In addition, the successful candidate will be involved in the process of sourcing copper concentrates in North America.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Development and implementation of sales strategy and sales plans that deliver top performance
- Identification of new markets and customers that will help optimize the existing portfolio further
- Gather market intelligence, draw insights and provide important input for commercial decisions
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and key service providers
- Provide market input and commercial expertise for operational planning
- Develop and execute processes to improve customer experience and drive efficiency
- Manage communications and provide regular updates to Tolling service providers
- Act as the back-up for the Commercial Manager – Moly and By products when they are travelling or on leave.

It will also be beneficial if you have:
- University degree in either Business, Engineering, Logistics, Marketing, or other related fields
- Notable commercial, sales, or business development experience in B2B context
- Experience with contract administration
- Strong Microsoft Office products skills
- Knowledge and experience in the metals and mining industry or commodities trading.
