About the role

We are looking for a Principal Advisor, APAC West to support the Manager, Investigations, APAC West and work collaboratively within the Business Conduct Office (BCO). This is a hands-on investigations role that combines strategic thinking, technical investigations expertise, and mentoring within a supportive and flexible work environment.
The successful candidate will be recognised as a specialist in investigations, with the ability to act as an advisor to the Manager, Investigations, APAC West. You will autonomously investigate and resolve moderate to complex allegations of misconduct, proactively monitor trends, and contribute to organisational learning through Corrective and Preventative Action processes. You will also mentor and coach junior investigators and ensure compliance with BCO processes and procedures.
This role requires strong experience in fraud, theft, and white-collar crime investigations, with a focus on business integrity and forensic evidence analysis. The ability to work autonomously, drive case closure, and mentor others is critical. While Perth is preferred, we are open to candidates based in any Australian capital city or Singapore.
Reporting to the Manager, Investigations, APAC West, you will:

Conduct trauma-informed and people-centric investigations into allegations of moderate to complex misconduct across the APAC West region

Work closely with internal stakeholders to implement the investigative process and support the welfare of participants

Collect and assess evidence in all its forms, ensuring objective, robust analysis

Prepare comprehensive, defensible investigation reports for internal and external review

Contribute to post-investigative discussions to identify systemic issues and support Corrective and Preventative Action planning

Monitor and provide advice regarding high-quality data collection and compliance with BCO procedures

Assist with supervising complex investigations and providing project support to the Manager, Investigations, APAC West

Mentor, coach and develop less experienced investigators within the team

Champion a culture of integrity, compliance, and continuous improvement
What you will bring
To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:

Degree level qualification (or equivalent professional investigation accreditation)
-
Background in law, forensic accounting, finance, auditing, or human resources
-
Extensive experience in workplace behavioural misconduct and integrity investigations
-
Strong interviewing, report writing, and forensic evidence analysis skills
-
Knowledge of internal control frameworks and corporate compliance principles
-
Ability to evaluate large volumes of data accurately and efficiently
-
Project management skills and a focus on delivering outcomes
-
Excellent interpersonal skills, including mentoring and team development capabilities
-
Strong time management and attention to compliance and procedural detail
