About the Role 

This role is a great opportunity to be a Lubrication Technician part of the Asset Health team responsible for the execution of lubrication practices across Dampier Port Operations

You will be joining a small, close-knit team where reliability, quality, improvement, and a keen eye for detail are key to achieving success. 

Working 7 days on, 7 days off day shift roster and reporting to the Asset Health Supervisor, you will be responsible for:

• Completing scheduled lubrication tasks, which will include, grease lubrication of pulleys and electric motors, oil change outs on reduction gear boxes and hydraulic systems, replacement of single point lubricators and oil sampling for elemental analysis.

• Reporting on problems and assisting repair of plant and equipment including improvements with practices and procedures

• Conducting lubrication repair and improvement works as specified by Asset Health Supervisor and maintainers

• Maintenance and cleanliness of lube service trucks and lube sheds

• Fostering a culture of continuous improvement to drive reliability best practice

Playing a key role in maintaining the lubrication needs of fixed plant equipment to the highest standards, your work will help ensure a safe, efficient, and reliable operation across multiple sites. What you’ll bring  

• Manual C Class Drivers Licence (MR or HR preferred)

• Lubrication training or lubrication experience on either fixed or mobile plant mining equipment

• Strong mechanical aptitude

• Organised, focussed and pragmatic approach to your work

• A strong safety culture and zero harm approach
   

It will also be beneficial if you have:

• Good knowledge of both EII and Parker Point plants

• Personal Isolation Officer Qualification

• Trade/Engineering certification

• Current MSIC -Wharf access

• SAP/Paperless Maintainer working knowledge

Our four independent shipping terminals at two locations, Cape Lambert and Dampier, are managed as a single port system. Each terminal has facilities for train unloading, product stockpiling and blending, and ship loading. Employees reside in Karratha which is located 1,527km north of Perth in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. Karratha is a family friendly, community driven town boasting pristine sandy beaches and excellent fishing/camping with having the incredible Dampier Archipelago at your doorstep.
