Nous sommes à la recherche d’un(e) conseiller(ère) principal(e), Énergie et Contrôle du carbone, qui soutiendra la stratégie et les cibles climatiques de Rio Tinto en améliorant la robustesse et l’intégrité des rapports concernant les émissions à l’échelle du Groupe. Vous développerez une approche améliorée de la gouvernance en mettant en place des structures, des procédures et des contrôles qui consolident et unifient les rapports sur les gaz à effet de serre dans les champs d’application 1, 2 et 3 et sur l’énergie dans tous les secteurs de l’entreprise.
Relevant du ou de la chef de service, Énergie et Contrôle du carbone, et travaillant au sein d’une communauté collaborative, vous aurez les responsabilités suivantes :

Mettre en place un environnement de données sur l’énergie et le carbone de premier ordre dans l’ensemble des sites mondiaux de Rio Tinto, au service de toutes les parties prenantes internes et externes de Rio Tinto.

Diriger une équipe de professionnels de la comptabilité carbone, en assurant le leadership des processus et le mentorat analytique.
-
Exécuter les processus de planification de l’entreprise en respectant scrupuleusement le calendrier, dans un souci d’exactitude.
À cette fin, voici les activités que vous mènerez :

Gérer les données techniques des rapports sur les gaz à effet de serre dans les champs d’application 1, 2 et 3 et sur l’énergie à l’échelle du Groupe, et être la principale personne-ressource lors des audits externes relatifs aux rapports sur les gaz à effet de serre et sur l’énergie.

Contribuer en tant que spécialiste technique aux documents d’orientation sur la déclaration des émissions, à l’évolution des rapports sur les carburants et la réduction des émissions, ainsi qu’à l’élaboration de lignes directrices pour les nouvelles exigences de déclaration du Groupe Rio Tinto.

Concevoir et gérer les changements de l’outil de production de rapports Enablon et la relation avec l’équipe SSE. S’assurer qu’Enablon fournit des rapports adaptés aux besoins.

Contrôler le respect des exigences en matière de rapports dans l’ensemble de l’entreprise et guider l’équipe Énergie et Contrôle du carbone.

Concevoir des outils, des systèmes visuels et des indicateurs et en guider la mise en œuvre afin de faciliter la vérification des données relatives à l’énergie et au carbone et de répondre aux besoins de l’entreprise en matière de rapports.

Effectuer un bilan de santé des rapports sur les émissions réelles dans les champs d’application 1, 2 et 3, ainsi que de la gestion et des contrôles des données sur les émissions dans l’ensemble de l’entreprise et des sites.

Maintenir un cadre de gouvernance global pour la déclaration des émissions, définissant les rôles et les responsabilités ainsi que les politiques et les stratégies de déclaration et de communication du Groupe.

Se familiariser avec les diverses règles et exigences législatives en matière de rapports sur les gaz à effet de serre et l’énergie et veiller à la durabilité et à l’intégration des rapports.

Compétences en matière de gestion de systèmes et d’équipes, avec une expérience de l’établissement de rapports, en particulier dans le cadre d’un portefeuille diversifié et complexe.

Expérience en matière de rapports sur les émissions de gaz à effet de serre et sur l’énergie et expérience en matière de conformité législative (un atout).

We are looking for a Principal Advisor – Energy and Carbon Controllership to support Rio Tinto’s climate strategy and targets through improved robustness and integrity of group-wide emissions reporting. You will develop an improved approach to governance by implementing structures, procedure and controls that consolidate and unify scope 1,2 and 3 greenhouse gas and energy reporting across all areas of the business.
Reporting to the Manager Energy and Carbon Controllership and working in a collaborative community responsibilities will include:

Drive a best-in-class energy and carbon data environment across all of Rio Tinto’s global assets, servicing all of Rio Tinto’s internal and external reporting stakeholders

Direct a team of technical carbon accounting professionals, providing process leadership and analytical mentorship
-
Execute corporate planning processes with high conformance to schedule and accuracy.
To fulfill this you will:
-
Govern Group wide scope 1,2,3 greenhouse gas and energy reporting technical data, and fulfil primary contact in external audits relating to greenhouse and energy reporting.

Contribute as a technical expert to emissions reporting guidance documents, evolving fuels and abatement reporting and the development of guidance for new Group Rio Tinto reporting requirements

Design and manage Enablon reporting tool changes and the relationship with the HSE team. Ensure Enablon delivers fit for purpose outputs.

Monitor reporting adherence to requirements across the business and guide the Energy and Carbon Controllership team on
-
Design and guide implementation of tools, visual systems and metrics to facilitate energy and carbon data checks and output needs across the business.

Health check scope 1,2,3 actual emissions reporting and emissions data management and controls across corporate and with sites.

Maintain an overarching governance framework for emissions reporting defining roles and responsibilities and group policies, reporting and communication strategies
-
Become familiar with the various legislative greenhouse gas and energy reporting rules and requirements and ensure there is sustainability and integration of reporting.
