About the role

We are looking for an experienced Project Delivery Superintendent to partner with the business to manage overseeing and coordinating all contractor-led haulage activities involving road trains.

This role is a great opportunity to apply your industry knowledge to facilitate the CMS (Contractor Management System) deliverables in the Hope Downs Mine Production team. This role ensures safe, efficient, and compliant operations while managing relationships with contracted haulage service providers. 

The Superintendent plays a key leadership role in upholding CRM safety standards, CMS obligations, and safe operational performance across the haulage function.

Reporting to the Mine Production Manager and working in a collaborative team; you will:

• Lead and manage road train haulage contractors in line with contractual terms and site requirements

• Monitor, record, and report HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) and SOW (Scope of Work) performance

• Ensure HSE, CRM (Contractor Resource Management), field time, variation control, and cost management requirements are met

• Lead Supervisors under WHS (Mines) Regulations 2022 with functions as per Schedule 26

• Conduct regular contractor performance reviews and Monitor haulage performance metrics

• Drive continuous improvement in road train logistics and load efficiency

• Champion a strong safety culture aligned with site RTIO HSE standards

• Ensure contractors adhere to traffic management plans, fatigue management, load restraint protocols, and speed limits

• Participate in incident investigations involving contractor fleet and personnel

• Support audits, reviews, and compliance inspections involving road train operations

What you’ll bring

• A commitment to the safety of yourself and our team

• Previous experience leading teams and/or HSE leadership experience

• Experience in heavy haulage or mining logistics, preferably with road trains

• Strong understanding of contractor management and road train operations

• Solid working knowledge of contractor management framework, systems, policies, standards and practices

• Highly effective organisational, time management and communication skills;

• Current “C” class driver's licence

• Approved Risk Management Training
