As a project lead for the payroll function in ESPS, this role is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of a major HR transformation project to deliver leave harmonisation across Australia. This is a high-impact role where you will lead a team of payroll systems and payroll professionals in a cross-functional project to manage and deliver complex change across ESPS.
Responsibilities:

Lead end-to-end delivery of the leave harmonization project for the ESPS function, from planning and design through to implementation and post-go-live support

Collaborate with HR, Reward, IS&T and the business to ensure seamless integration and alignment of deliverables and key outcomes for the business

Ensure project governance structure is in place including periodic governance forums, and project reporting

Manage key dependencies across multiple stakeholders/workstreams, and clearly articulating issues/risks on delivery timelines and project scope including any projects being delivered in parallel such as Modern ERP project moving to S/4 Hana

Play a key role in project workshops during design phase to gather and define end to end requirements (people, process and technology) including controls, any manual off system calculators and a clear agreed model for query management is in place

Engage SMEs from ESPS and other key stakeholder groups to design and implement a change solution that is aligned with business requirements

Identify the communications and relationship needs of stakeholder groups, including the translation of communications/stakeholder engagement into specific actions and deliverables

Lead the ESPS project team to design test plans and conduct UAT, working closely with IS&T to promote seamless delivery to meet tight project timelines

Lead the project team to deliver change management, including updates to process maps, risk and control matrices (RACM) and other operational documents e.g. desk top procedures (DTPs), job aids, checklists

Build the training and plan for ESPS readiness for business go live and hypercare plan gaining endorsement from senior leadership e.g. training (for front and back office teams e.g. our HR Contact Centre for employee or leader queries), knowledge transfer and other change management activities

Ensure project costs are recorded, recharged and reported appropriately
Required Skills:

Subject matter expertise in end-to-end Time and Pay processes and systems
-
Proven experience in leading large scale project implementations and complex change management in either HR or Time and Pay

Functional or strong working experience in SAP payroll sub-module highly desirable

Strong project management experience, with excellent planning, coordination, and delivery oversight capabilities

Leadership experience in managing teams, both direct and cross-functional

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Strong communication stakeholder management skills, with the confidence and ability to present and/or influence senior level audiences
-
Ability to think strategically at an operating model level as well as at a detailed process specific level
-
Ability to manage key risks and dependencies in a cross-functional project and clearly articulate impacts on delivery timelines and project scope

Experience in change management and enablement in major transformations

Where you will be working
This role will be part of the Group Services team. The role will require close partnership and alignment with Group Services – ESPS (Employee Support and Payroll Services), Reward, HR, Finance, IS&T and other GPOs (Global Process Owners). This role will also be required to stay connected to the Modern ERP S/4 Hana project.
