- Team Builder: A passion for building and leading engaged, high‑performing teams; sets clear expectations, provides feedback and supports capability growth.
- Contractor Management: Strong contractor and vendor management, with a track record of driving performance against contract deliverables and commercial obligations.
- Influencing Skills: Effective stakeholder engagement and communication across operations, maintenance, HSE, engineering and external partners; able to drive improvements, influence outcomes and make sound decisions guided by policy, procedures and business plans.
- Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in delivering to safety and site targets, with consistent KPI/reporting discipline and timely escalation/corrective action when required.
- Engineering Expertise: Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline (or equivalent experience); industry certifications (e.g., AIPM, PMP) advantageous; background in Process Engineering or related disciplines is preferred but not essential.

Where you will be working
Our Gove Operations have been supplying the global aluminium industry with world-class bauxite for over 40 years. Located in Australia’s Northern Territory, the operation produces approximately 12 million tonnes of bauxite annually.
With a dedicated workforce of 460 people, our daily activities include mine operations, maintenance, asset management, shutdown planning and execution, export operations, cultural heritage management, and closure activities following the decision to close the site’s alumina refinery and associated Residue Disposal Area in 2017.
We anticipate that our bauxite mining operations on the Gove Peninsula will cease in 2030. We are undertaking significant efforts to support the closure of the operation. We also recognize that our operations take place on Indigenous-owned land, and we are committed to working together to achieve a positive future for Nhulunbuy and the Gove Peninsula post-mining.
