L’équipe des Projets de Rio Tinto réalise environ 7 milliards de dollars américains de projets d’investissement par an et doit faire face à une croissance géographique de son portefeuille, à une complexité croissante des projets, à des marchés fournisseurs plus exigeants et à l’évolution des modèles de livraison dans l’ensemble de ses projets.
Nous sommes à la recherche d’un ou d’une chef de service, Analyse comparative, qui jouera un rôle essentiel dans la coordination de toutes les activités internes et externes d’analyse comparative actuellement menées dans les différents secteurs des RioProjets, et ce, dans le cadre d’une fonction dédiée. La personne titulaire du poste devra coordonner ces activités de manière réfléchie et stratégique afin de garantir que nous tirons le meilleur parti de nos données.
Relevant du directeur général ou de la directrice générale, Pratiques et amélioration, Projets, et travaillant au sein d’une communauté collaborative, vous gérerez le cadre d’analyse comparative de la performance ainsi que la production de rapports connexes pour les RioProjets. L’analyse comparative de la performance comprend des concepts tels que le développement d’équipe, la préparation en amont, l’augmentation graduelle de la production ainsi que la performance en matière de coûts et de délais. Vous aurez les responsabilités suivantes :

Amélioration de la performance : Permettre aux directeurs exécutifs, aux directeurs généraux et aux chefs de projet de comparer la performance de leurs projets au sein de Rio Tinto et par rapport aux normes de l’industrie, afin de les aider à cerner les domaines à améliorer et à accroître l’efficacité et la productivité.

Planification stratégique : Fournir aux projets des outils d’analyse comparative pour aider à fixer des objectifs réalistes et à élaborer des plans stratégiques fondés sur des données éprouvées, afin de garantir que les projets s’alignent sur des projets similaires couronnés de succès.

Amélioration continue : Promouvoir une culture d’amélioration continue en évaluant régulièrement la performance et en apportant des changements basés sur des données comparatives.

Standardisation et optimisation des processus : Comparer les processus, tels que la durée des études, avec ceux des chefs de file de l’industrie afin de déterminer où rationaliser les processus de projet et réduire les goulots d’étranglement, et élaborer des processus robustes de collecte de données et d’analyse comparative à l’échelle mondiale afin de suivre la conformité et d’optimiser les données internes.

Engagement : Collaborer avec des équipes d’experts (ingénierie, estimation, planification, contrôles de projet, opérations, etc.) afin d’intégrer leurs données dans le cadre global d’analyse comparative de la performance. Cela comprend également la gestion des relations avec les forums d’analyse comparative et les consultants en externe.

Démonstration de l’utilisation des données comparatives pour faciliter la prise de décisions relatives à des projets individuels et au portefeuille.

Expérience dans l’estimation et/ou le contrôle des coûts dans le cadre de la réalisation de grands projets de construction/d’investissement.

Excellentes compétences en communication et en présentation, avec une capacité avérée à traduire des informations techniques en connaissances permettant la prise de décisions.

Expérience dans la création et/ou la tenue à jour de rapports PowerBI.

Rio Tinto Projects deliver approximately USD$7Bn of capital projects per annum and are facing geographically spread portfolio growth, increasing project complexity, toughened supplier markets and evolving delivery models across our projects.
We are looking for a Manager Benchmarking to play a critical role in bringing together all internal and external benchmarking activities currently undertaken across various parts of RioProjects into a single dedicated role. The role will need to bring these activities together thoughtfully and strategically to ensure we get the most value from our data.
Reporting to the General Manager, Project Practices and Improvement and working in a collaborative community, the role will manage the performance benchmarking framework and reporting for RioProjects. Performance benchmarking includes concepts such as team development, front-end-loading, production ramp-up as well as cost and schedule performance. Responsibilities will include:

Performance Improvement: Enabling MDs, GMs, and Project Managers to compare their projects' performance within Rio Tinto and against industry standards, helping them to identify areas for improvement, boosting efficiency and productivity.

Strategic Planning: Providing projects with benchmarking aids to help in setting realistic goals and developing strategic plans based on proven data, ensuring projects are aligned with similar successful projects.

Continuous Improvement: Promoting a culture of continuous improvement by regularly assessing performance and making changes based on benchmarking data.

Process Standardization and Optimization: Comparing processes, like study durations, with industry leaders helping to identify where to streamline project processes and reduce bottlenecks and developing robust global data and benchmarking processes to track compliance and optimize internal data.

Engagement: Working with SME teams such as engineering, estimating, planning, project controls and operational teams, to integrate their data into the overall performance benchmarking framework. It also includes managing engagements with external benchmarking forums and consultants.
