About the role
The Value Management Office (VMO) is part of Rio Tinto's Commercial Digital team, delivering digital solutions to support the business. VMO drives strategic alignment, lean governance, and communication, ensures key initiatives are delivered, and supports operational excellence through structured processes and stakeholder collaboration.
Reporting to Manager Domain Portfolio, you will be entrusted with the following responsibilities:
People & Communications

Lead and organize Commercial Digital town halls, team-building activities, and internal communications.

Manage digital platforms including intranet, SharePoint, and newsletters.

Drive digital collaboration and roadshows to enhance team visibility and engagement.

Monitor and improve employee satisfaction (eSat) through targeted initiatives.
-
Manage and oversee a self-directing VMO team to achieve set objectives.
Strategy Alignment
-
Oversee cost recharge processes and ensure transparency with Commercial VPs.
-
Collaborate with Digital, IS&T and Finance to manage digital demand intake to prioritize and align with value-based outcomes.

Track and report on OKRs, KPIs, and Agile metrics (e.g., ADO maturity).

Support planning and execution of Annual Budgeting planning, Monthly Performance review with Commercial CFO, and Quarterly Digital playback to Senior Leaders.

Ensure delivery of 2025 plan commitments and strategic goals.
Lean Governance

Monitor and highlight budget against forecast and actual.

Oversee PRR, SES, PO, and license processes.

Manage budgets and resource allocation efficiently.

Drive reduction in sustaining OPEX by 10%.

Align new digital deliveries with Group IS&T standards.
About you
To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
-
A recognized University degree with at least 5 years of relevant experiences.
-
Proven track record in delivering digital products using Agile Methodology.

Knowledge or working experience in commodity trading is preferred but not mandatory.
-
Certified Product Owner or Scrum Master is preferred.
-
Having human centred design or design thinking experience will be a plus.

Where you will be working
Headquartered in Singapore, and integrated with Rio Tinto’s assets, hubs, and offices globally, our Commercial group works hand-in-hand with our product groups to ensure both the amount and types of products we produce meet our customer’s needs, and manage the trade-off between volumes, quality, cost and capital expenditure.
