Estamos buscando un Supervisor de Operaciones de Proyecto en Logística y Operaciones, quién será responsable de ejercer supervisión directa sobre las actividades operativas, evaluadas en función de su nivel de riesgo, asegurando su ejecución conforme a los lineamientos establecidos en la Matriz de Supervisión de Rio Tinto Exploraciones.
El rol colaborará directamente con los equipos de geología y HSE de RTX Colombia, bajo la dirección del Coordinador de Proyecto de Colombia y con orientación del experto en perforación y del Gerente Responsable Nombrado para Aviación.
Usted estará a cargo de lo siguiente:

Representar a la organización en la ejecución de acuerdos de servicios en el sitio del proyecto, cumpliendo con las prioridades organizacionales y del proyecto, en línea con los valores y la cultura organizacional de Rio Tinto.

Liderar la evaluación continua, priorización y control de riesgos críticos a nivel de supervisión.

Es responsable del seguimiento y reporte de hitos y costos relacionados con la entrega de servicios en los sitios de la compañía.

Supervisar la entrega de servicios conforme a los procedimientos técnicos de RTX y RT, como el Procedimiento de Perforación de Exploración y Evaluación de Rio Tinto, el Estándar de Aviación C7 y el Estándar Básico de Riesgo en Aviación (BARS).

Asegurar el éxito y la mejora continua del soporte basado en tareas para las pruebas de objetivos geológicos.

El candidato debe demostrar competencias clave en exploración minera, conocimiento técnico de procesos mecánicos y experiencia supervisando la ejecución de trabajos de alto riesgo.

Se valorará experiencia previa en exploración, minería, perforación, aviación o prospección.

Es requisito contar con experiencia en entornos exigentes, como selva, altitudes geográficas elevadas y campamentos accesibles únicamente por helicóptero.

Manejo de herramientas como Forwood CRM para la identificación, evaluación y control de riesgos.

Título universitario, superior o formación técnica con apoyo geológico. Se valorará experiencia previa en servicios militares, gubernamentales o en organizaciones mineras de primer nivel.

Dominio del idioma español y nivel intermedio de inglés.

Manejo de herramientas de Microsoft Office: Teams, Excel, Word y PowerPoint.

About the role

The Project Operations Supervisor in Logistics and Operations will be responsible for providing direct oversight of operational activities, assessed based on their risk level, ensuring their execution aligns with the guidelines established in the Rio Tinto Exploration Supervision Matrix.
The role is critical to the testing of exploration targets in Colombia, where helicopter operations are required for the transportation of people and equipment. The position will provide first line operational support for the conceptual study of the copper resource that has been identified at Comita.
This role will collaborate directly with the RTX Colombia geology and HSE teams under the direction of the Colombia Project Coordinator with guidance from drilling subject matter expert the Nominated Responsible Manager for Aviation.
Your responsibilities will include:

Represents the organization in the execution of service agreements at the project site, delivering on organizational & project priorities in line with Rio Tinto’s values & organizational culture.

Leads the ongoing assessment, prioritization and control of critical risks at the supervisor level.

Responsible for the tracking and reporting on milestones and costs for service delivery at company sites.

Oversees service delivery in accordance with RTX & RT technical procedures, such as Rio Tinto’s Exploration and Evaluation Drilling Procedure, C7 Aviation Standard and as well as the Basic Aviation Risk Standard (BARS).

Ensures success & ongoing improvement of task-based support for geological target tests.
-
Ensuring overall success & ongoing improvement at geological target tests, for example; Exploration holes drilled to target depth and to the diameter specified by geoscience sample protocol. Sample recovery is within KPI set forth by geoscience team to ensure accurate assay results.

Candidate must demonstrate core competencies for mineral exploration; technical knowledge of mechanical processes, and experience supervising the execution of high-risk work.

A background in exploration, mining, drilling, aviation, or prospecting is preferred.

Experience in austere environments, jungle and geographical altitude, camp environments accessed by helicopter is required.

Facility with tools, such as Forwood CRM for the identification, assessment and control of risk.

Technical degree or vocational training in geological support is preferred but not required. Military or government service or a previous career in a tier one mining organization is preferable.

Fluency in Spanish and intermediate proficiency in English.

Facility with Microsoft office software; Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

High level of interpersonal and communication skill and a commitment to lifelong improvement in these areas.
