We are seeking a Senior Advisor Technology Development to support the roll-out of the Nuton technology at Johnson Camp Mine (JCM), Arizona, developing and monitoring both site and laboratory-based test work programs supporting the operation at JCM. This role will also involve direct oversight and management of test programs at Nuton partner laboratories.
Reporting to the Technology Principal Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in the implementation and validation of Nuton technology. You will plan and manage testwork including columns and agglomeration tests and review and analyze data to optimize process flowsheets and process unit operations, providing critical inputs to the achievement of optimized operational results. This work will support existing operations and also feed in the process engineering building blocks of the Nuton Technology Packages, ensuring that the Nuton technology is successfully integrated into the future design, construction, and operation of new plants.

Your key responsibilities will include:
- Plan, conduct, lead, and analyze Nuton testwork programs at on-site internal laboratory facilities, as well as at external commercial laboratories. This includes testing ore samples for their amenability to Nuton operating conditions and to optimize operating parameters
- Lead setting up of a new partner testing facility in Tucson, AZ, to analyze and test ores from our first industrial-scale deployment site at Johnson Camp Mine, as well as from other potential partner sites.
- Provide technical support to the Technology Principal Advisor and Node Leads involved in the commissioning, ramp-up and operation of the JCM Nuton deployment.
- Provide and / or review technical design and engineering specifications as needed by the broader Nuton team.
What you’ll bring
To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
- A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team.
- A tertiary qualification in Chemical or Metallurgical Engineering.
- Strong data analysis skills
- Strong problem-solving ability incorporating troubleshooting of technical and complex issues
- A minimum of 6 years of heap leach test work and / or operational experience, preferably in copper heap leaching. Experience in agglomeration and stacking operations will be considered favorable.
- Good understanding of sampling theory and experimental statistical analysis/design
- Ability to work in multi-functional and multi-disciplinary teams and deliver measurable outcomes.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with employees at all levels of the organization and external vendors and stakeholders.
