About the role
Join our team as a Supervisor Asset Health, where you'll lead a team of Maintenance Tradespersons in executing maintenance activities while ensuring consistent application of asset management processes. You'll play a crucial role in maintaining the reliability and safety of our assets.
We are committed to maximizing the value of our assets through strategic initiatives such as modelling, forecasting, and lifecycle management. We focus on efficiently applying asset management strategies to achieve safe and sustainable outcomes.
Reporting to the Superintendent Plant Maintenance, you will:
- Manage and supervise trade employees in maintenance activities, ensuring tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
- Allocate maintenance coverage for breakdowns and resolve on-the-job issues related to planned maintenance activities and shutdowns.
- Monitor working practices and adherence to safety procedures to ensure the safety of employees working in the area.
- Ensure compliance to relative legislation, inclusive of statutory obligations.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, evaluating sn d implementing improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with other functions and stakeholders in the performance of duties.
What You'll Bring
- Relevant trade qualification.
- WHS Statutory Supervisor qualification
- Ability to effectively lead and manage a team of Maintenance Tradespersons.
- Proficiency in overseeing maintenance activities and ensuring that asset management processes are consistently applied to maintain the reliability and safety of assets.
- Understanding of asset management principles and practices, including optimization, forecasting, lifecycle management, and risk mitigation.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment by monitoring and enforcing adherence to safety procedures and regulations.
- Clear and effective communication abilities to liaise with team members, management, and other stakeholders.
- Experience in organising maintenance schedules, allocating resources, and prioritizing tasks to meet operational requirements.
- A current C class manual driver license

Where you’ll be working
Located 95km north-west of Newman, Yandicoogina offers a range of fly in fly out rosters. As one of Australia's largest-producing iron ore mines; operating a fleet of autonomous trucks and drills, it generates more than 55 million tonnes of Hammersley Iron Yandi (HIY) fines each year.
Yandicoogina is known for its culture of teamwork, can-do attitude and pioneering spirit, leading the way with innovation and technological advances in autonomous operations and robotics.
