Buscamos un/a Asesor Principal de Tierras, Permisos y Tenencia que lidere el proceso de permisos para nuestros proyectos de exploración, asegurando el cumplimiento regulatorio y fortaleciendo relaciones con actores gubernamentales. Este rol combina gestión ambiental, relacionamiento comunitario y liderazgo técnico en exploración minera.
Responsabilidades principales:
- Supervisar la preparación de permisos necesarios para perforación exploratoria (DIA, FTA, Consulta Previa, CIRA, Inicio de Actividades), asegurando que todas las solicitudes cumplan con los requisitos regulatorios peruanos y se procesen en tiempo y forma.
- Gestionar contratistas encargados de estudios de línea base ambiental, garantizando que sus entregables estén alineados con los cronogramas y estándares del proyecto.
- Mantener un conocimiento actualizado y profundo de la normativa aplicable para asegurar el cumplimiento total durante todo el proceso de permisos.
- Construir y mantener relaciones sólidas con pares de la industria, instituciones, academia y funcionarios gubernamentales, facilitando procesos de permisos fluidos.
- Representar a la empresa en reuniones con entidades gubernamentales junto al Exploration Manager, asegurando alineación en prioridades y actualizaciones de estado.
- Actuar como enlace para monitorear proactivamente el avance de los permisos presentados y resolver cualquier inconveniente que surja.
- Desarrollar e implementar enfoques creativos para integrar el relacionamiento comunitario dentro del proceso de permisos, fomentando la confianza y el apoyo local.
- Colaborar estrechamente con el equipo de relaciones comunitarias (CSP) para asegurar la alineación entre las actividades de permisos y las expectativas de las comunidades.
- Participar activamente con actores locales para abordar inquietudes y promover los beneficios sociales y ambientales de las operaciones de la empresa.
- Coordinar con otras áreas de RTX Perú (CSP, L&O, Legal, D&IM, Geología y gestión de proyectos) para asegurar un enfoque cohesivo en la ejecución de permisos.
- Realizar visitas regulares a los sitios de proyecto para verificar el avance de tareas de permisos y cumplimiento por parte del personal y contratistas.
- Brindar orientación técnica en terreno para asegurar la preparación oportuna y precisa de las solicitudes de permisos.
- Colaborar con los equipos de campo para identificar y resolver desafíos relacionados con el acceso a tierras y permisos.
Requisitos:
- Título universitario en Ciencias Ambientales, Ingeniería, Geología, Biología, Derecho o carreras afines.
- Experiencia comprobada en acceso a tierras, permisos y gestión de stakeholders en exploración minera en Perú.
- Conocimiento profundo de la normativa ambiental peruana y procesos de permisos.
- Experiencia en interacción con instituciones gubernamentales y actores de nivel medio.
- Habilidades sólidas de organización, gestión de proyectos, comunicación y negociación.
- Dominio del español y preferentemente del inglés.
Otros:
- Trabajo presencial en oficina de Miraflores, Lima al menos 3 veces por semana.
- Disponibilidad para viajar regularmente a sitios de proyecto y oficinas gubernamentales en Lima y el interior del país.

About the role

The Principal Advisor – Land & Tenure is responsible for ensuring exploration projects progress efficiently toward the drilling stage and beyond by managing the permitting process and fostering strong relationships with government stakeholders. This role requires technical expertise, strategic vision, and strong engagement capabilities.
Key responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation of all necessary permits for exploration drilling (e.g., DIA, FTA, Prior Consultation, CIRA, Start of Activities), ensuring that all submissions comply with Peruvian regulatory requirements and are processed in a timely manner.
- Manage contractors conducting baseline environmental studies, ensuring their deliverables align with project timelines and standards.
- Maintain a comprehensive and up-to-date understanding of applicable regulations to ensure full compliance throughout the permitting process.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with industry peers, institutions, academia, and government professionals to facilitate smooth permitting processes.
- Represent the company in government meetings alongside the Exploration Manager, ensuring alignment on project priorities and status updates.
- Act as a liaison to proactively monitor the progress of submitted permits and address any issues that arise.
- Develop and implement creative approaches to integrate community engagement into the permitting process, fostering trust and local support for projects.
- Work collaboratively with the community relations team (CSP) to ensure alignment between permitting activities and community expectations.
- Actively engage with local stakeholders to address concerns and promote the social and environmental benefits of the company’s operations.
- Coordinate closely with other departments within RTX Peru (CSP, L&O, Legal, D&IM, Geology, and project management) to ensure a cohesive approach to permitting and project execution.
- Conduct regular visits to project sites to ensure staff and contractors are progressing with permitting and compliance tasks.
- Provide technical oversight and guidance to on-site teams to ensure timely and accurate preparation of permit applications.
- Collaborate with field teams to identify and resolve challenges related to land access and permitting.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, Biology, Law, or related fields.
- Proven track record in land access, permitting, and stakeholder management in Peru’s mineral exploration sector.
- Deep familiarity with Peruvian environmental regulations and permitting processes.
- Experience engaging with government institutions and mid-level stakeholders.
- Strong organizational, project management, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English (preferred).
Other:
- Based in Miraflores, Lima, working from the RTX Peru office at least 3x per week.
- Willingness to travel regularly to project sites and government offices in Lima and across Peru.
