Buscamos un/a Técnico/a de HSE Rincon que acompañe nuestras operaciones mineras asegurando el cumplimiento de estándares de salud, seguridad y medio ambiente. Este rol combina supervisión en terreno, gestión preventiva y colaboración activa con equipos operativos para promover una cultura de seguridad y sostenibilidad.
Responsabilidades Clave:
- Apoyar la implementación de los estándares de HSE de Rio Tinto y entrenar a las operaciones y el proyecto según sea necesario.
- Ser referente en HSE y comunicarse diariamente con los gerentes de HSE y otras áreas.
- Apoyar el desarrollo de Take 5, JHA, CRM y permisos de trabajo en campo.
- Realizar entrenamientos de aula y campo.
- Participar en liderar investigaciones de incidentes.
- Participar en la implementación del sistema Modelo de Madurez de Seguridad (SMM) de Rio Tinto.
- Promover y entrenar en la implementación de estándares de Rio Tinto.
- Asesorar y gestionar eventos y acciones en los softwares de HSE de Rio Tinto (Enablon, CRM, Safety Culture y otros).
- Realizar, asesorar y coachear en actividades de liderazgo en campo (LiF)
- Realizar inspecciones de prevención e identificación de peligros en campo.
- Orientar e instruir en temas de HSE a equipos e Rio Tinto, EPCM y Contratistas.
- Apoya la implementación de CRM y actividades de Liderazgo en campo.
- Trabaja con lideres de operaciones y proyecto para resolver los desafíos de HSE en campo.
Requisitos y Capacidades:
- Graduado en Tecnicatura en higiene y seguridad o título con especialización en seguridad (HSE).
- Experiencia en entorno de trabajo donde la seguridad es siempre la máxima prioridad.
- Demostrar una experiencia considerable en un puesto similar, idealmente una combinación de construcción industrial y una planta de procesos químicos.
- Conocimiento de cómo funcionan los productos químicos.
- Experiencia de trabajo con equipos diversos.
- Gestión e investigación de incidentes.
- Habilidades profesionales para apoyar y ofrecer programas de HSE, informes y monitoreo de calidad.
- Alto nivel de comunicación escrita y verbal.
- Atributos que demuestran abiertamente que HSE es un valor personal.
- Deseable contar con conocimientos de inglés oral y escrito.

About the Role

We are looking for an HSE Technician in Rincon Project to support our mining operations by ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards. This role combines field supervision, preventive management, and active collaboration with operational teams to promote a culture of safety and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support the implementation of Rio Tinto’s HSE standards and provide training to operations and project teams as needed.
• Act as an HSE reference and maintain daily communication with HSE managers and other departments.
• Support the development of Take 5, JHA, CRM, and field work permits.
• Deliver classroom and field training sessions.
• Participate in leading incident investigations.
• Contribute to the implementation of Rio Tinto’s Safety Maturity Model (SMM).
• Promote and train teams on the implementation of Rio Tinto standards.
• Advise and manage events and actions within Rio Tinto’s HSE software systems (Enablon, CRM, Safety Culture, and others).
• Conduct, advise, and coach field leadership activities (LiF).
• Perform field inspections for hazard identification and prevention.
• Guide and instruct Rio Tinto, EPCM, and contractor teams on HSE matters.
• Support CRM implementation and field leadership activities.
• Collaborate with operations and project leaders to address HSE challenges in the field.
Requirements and Skills:
• Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related qualification with a specialization in HSE.
• Experience in a work environment where safety is the top priority.
• Proven experience in a similar role, ideally combining industrial construction and chemical processing plant environments.
• Understanding of chemical product operations.
• Experience working with diverse teams.
• Incident management and investigation skills.
• Professional capabilities to support and deliver HSE programs, reporting, and quality monitoring.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Attributes that clearly demonstrate HSE as a personal value.
• Oral and written English proficiency is desirable.
