El rol del Supervisor de Planificación de Mantenimiento es esencial para garantizar el cumplimiento del plan anual de mantenimiento de la panta de proceso. Es responsable de liderar al equipo de Planificación con el fin de lograr una planificación semanal cumplible, eficiente y eficaz; que sea consistente con el plan anual; que asegure la máxima disponibilidad de los equipos de la planta de proceso, equipos de laboratorio químico y equipos auxiliares; que contemple un porcentaje de horas disponibles para la resolución de imprevistos, urgencias y para la ejecución de tareas no programadas o pequeños proyectos de mejoras en la operación.
Esta función reporta al Gerente de Gestión de Activos (GGA) y será responsable de gestionar, supervisar y asignar trabajos al equipo de Planificación y de que éstos se ejecuten con los más altos estándares de seguridad y calidad, cumpliendo y haciendo cumplir las políticas de seguridad laboral, de preservación del medio ambiente, y los procedimientos de ejecución de trabajos específicos vigentes en la empresa.
Sus principales funciones serán
- Cumplir y hacer cumplir las políticas y procedimientos de seguridad para garantizar la seguridad de los empleados y cumplimiento de los requisitos reglamentarios y de seguridad de Rio Tinto.
- Gestionar, supervisar y asignar trabajos al equipo de Planificación asegurando que todos los recursos de mano de obra, materiales y equipos estén planificados para su ejecución.
- Coordinar las Órdenes de Trabajo (OTs) no programadas solicitadas por otros departamentos funcionales, y planificar su ejecución junto con la aprobación de los Supervisores de Mant. Mecánico, Eléctrico y de Operaciones, y en función de la urgencia o el impacto que éstas tengan en la producción.
- Aplicar las prácticas de gestión de activos de Rio Tinto, adherirse al programa de gestión de trabajos de mantenimiento aprobado y dar seguimiento al cumplimiento de las órdenes de trabajo planificadas y programadas.
- Recopilar datos de contratación de servicios y otros gastos de mantenimiento del año en curso que sean de interés para la elaboración del presupuesto de años subsiguientes.
- Llevar el control mensual de los gastos, comparando los “actual” versus “budget” y elaborar reportes de desviaciones.
- Instruir a los Planificadores/Programadores en la emisión de un informe semanal que incluya:
- Total de OTs procesadas en la semana.
- Cantidad de OTs programadas y no programadas.
- Porcentajes de cumplimento de OTs programadas y no programadas.
- Total de hs/hb propias disponibles y consumidas.
- Total de hs/hb de contratistas al servicio de Mantenimiento consumidas en la semana.
- Listado de OTs programadas y no programadas que no se han cumplido en la semana.
- Seguimiento de PR, PO de repuestos y Servicios.
- Controlar el rol de Master Data, asegurado la disponibilidad de información en sistema de gestión de activos, actualización y mejoras
- Procurar la capacitación y el desarrollo del equipo de Planificación.
- Mantener permanentemente informado al GGA de la condición general de la planta.
- Analizar, recopilar y organizar los datos de mantenimiento para identificar acciones de mejora para las estrategias y tácticas de activos.
Lo que aportarás
- Graduado/a universitario en Ingeniería Mecánica, Ingeniería Electromecánica o Ingeniería Industrial.
- Capacidad para el trabajo en equipo.
- Experiencia liderando equipos de planificación y/o mantenimiento industrial.
- Espíritu inquieto, voluntad de continuo aprendizaje y búsqueda continua de mejoras.
- Excelentes habilidades de comunicación e interpersonales para comunicarse efectivamente con las partes interesadas internas.
- Proactividad en la identificación e implementación de mejoras en los procesos de mantenimiento.
- Capacidad para trabajar con un enfoque en mantener los más altos estándares de seguridad.
- Manejo avanzado de Sistema SAP.

About the Role

The role of Maintenance Planning Supervisor is essential to ensure compliance with the annual maintenance plan for the processing plant. This position is responsible for leading the Planning team to achieve a feasible, efficient, and effective weekly plan that aligns with the annual plan; maximizes the availability of processing plant equipment, chemical laboratory equipment, and auxiliary equipment; and includes a percentage of available hours for handling unforeseen events, emergencies, and the execution of unplanned tasks or small improvement projects in operations.
This role reports to the Asset Management Manager (GGA) and will be responsible for managing, supervising, and assigning tasks to the Planning team, ensuring that all work is executed to the highest safety and quality standards, while complying with and enforcing occupational safety policies, environmental preservation policies, and current work execution procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Comply with and enforce safety policies and procedures to guarantee employee safety and adherence to Rio Tinto’s regulatory and safety requirements.
- Manage, supervise, and assign tasks to the Planning team, ensuring that all labor, materials, and equipment resources are properly planned for execution.
- Coordinate unplanned Work Orders (WOs) requested by other functional departments and plan their execution in collaboration with Mechanical, Electrical, and Operations Maintenance Supervisors, based on urgency or production impact.
- Apply Rio Tinto’s asset management practices, adhere to the approved maintenance work management program, and monitor compliance with planned and scheduled work orders.
- Collect data on service contracts and other current-year maintenance expenses relevant for preparing future budgets.
- Maintain monthly expense control by comparing “actual” versus “budget” and prepare deviation reports.
- Instruct Planners/Schedulers to issue a weekly report including:
- Total WOs processed during the week
- Number of scheduled and unscheduled WOs
- Percentage of compliance for scheduled and unscheduled WOs
- Total available and consumed own labor hours
- Total contractor labor hours consumed during the week
- List of scheduled and unscheduled WOs not completed during the week
- Follow-up on PRs and POs for spare parts and services
- Oversee Master Data role, ensuring information availability in the asset management system, updates, and improvements.
- Promote training and development of the Planning team.
- Keep the Asset Management Manager informed of the plant’s overall condition.
- Analyze, collect, and organize maintenance data to identify improvement actions for asset strategies and tactics.
What You’ll Bring
