We are looking for a Quality Expediter to protect the reputation of the 20 Mule Team brand by assuring the quality of the processes and products thereof. To accomplish this goal, our team accurately determines the quality of intermediate products and final products using analytical methods and sound laboratory practices. Our methods are designed to report the physical and chemical characteristics of samples so that plant operations can be maintained to produce a consistently high-quality product, and to ensure that customer specifications are satisfied. The Quality Laboratory team vigilantly maintains the high standard and historic reputation of the 20 Mule Team brand and the broader Rio Tinto group of companies.
Reporting to the Quality Laboratory Superintendent, you will:
- Facilitate the quality control and clearance of shipments by monitoring ERP and LIMS software platforms and investigating and correcting exceptions.
- Support the Quality Management team by assisting with the duties of the Quality Lab Supervisor in their absence and maintaining Quality Laboratory assets.
- Lead the Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality culture in the Quality Department by communicating and upholding company policies and procedures.
- Assist with customer service requests by sending and receiving non-routine samples, assigning analyses, communicating findings, and assisting investigations.
About you
To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
- Bachelor of Science or equivalent technical diploma.
- Working knowledge of ERP and LIMS software platforms is preferred.
- Computer programming, data analytics, and specialized laboratory instrument software knowledge is beneficial.
- Experience in a laboratory environment is preferred.
- Experience in customer service, administration, and supply chain management is beneficial.
- Should be organized, pay attention to detail, work autonomously, effectively communicate
- Ability to use common software including word processors, spreadsheets, SharePoint, LIMS, SAP, etc.
