À propos du poste
Nous cherchons un(e) conseiller(ère) senior, Barrages hydrauliques et de résidus pour fournir du soutien et des conseils techniques visant la gestion des dangers majeurs en lien avec les installations de stockage des déchets industriels, les talus naturels et aménagés ainsi que les digues à résidus et les digues de retenue des eaux dans la région Europe, Moyen-Orient et Afrique (EMOA), grâce un engagement, une collaboration et des communications efficaces avec un grand nombre de sites.
C’est une excellente occasion de fournir du soutien et de l’assistance technique au portefeuille Fermeture pour les sites d’héritage industriel et ceux en cours de fermeture, dans le cadre d’un mandat axé sur l’engagement de Rio Tinto en faveur de fermetures sûres. Vous jouerez un rôle crucial dans le parcours de Rio Tinto visant à comprendre et à réduire les risques.
Relevant du ou de la chef de service principal(e), Dangers majeurs, et travaillant dans un milieu stimulant et passionnant, vous aurez les responsabilités suivantes :

Assurer la bonne gestion globale des installations de stockage des résidus miniers (TSF), des installations de stockage d’eau (WSF), des talus naturels et aménagés, ainsi que des installations de stockage des déchets industriels (IWF) dans le portefeuille d’héritage industriel.

Veiller au respect des normes et de Rio Tinto ainsi que des normes et directives de l’industrie, en mettant l’accent sur la gestion des risques liés aux talus et aux digues de retenue des eaux et des résidus miniers en France, afin que les risques soient correctement recensés et gérés sur l’ensemble des sites de RT Fermeture.

Fournir des services à titre d’ingénieur responsable des barrages (RDE) pour les sites d’héritage industriel et être responsable de la gestion, de la conformité et de la gouvernance continues de ces installations.

Effectuer régulièrement des inspections, des audits et une surveillance des actifs géotechniques afin de suivre la performance, de repérer les dangers et d’évaluer l’intégrité. Tenir des registres détaillés et conserver toute la documentation relative aux résultats obtenus.

Soutenir la conformité de RT Fermeture aux normes GISTM, D5 et D3 pour les sites d’héritage industriel.

Repérer les dangers liés aux IWF, aux talus naturels et aménagés et aux installations de stockage des eaux et des résidus miniers, en collaborant étroitement et efficacement avec les sites afin de garantir et de fournir un soutien adéquat sur le plan technique et de l’ingénierie.

Fournir des conseils et des orientations aux personnes responsables chez Rio Tinto (chefs de service, directeurs généraux et directeurs des sites concernés) conformément aux normes et directives internes.

Visiter régulièrement les sites pour effectuer des inspections et fournir une assistance technique.
À propos de vous

Diplôme universitaire supérieur en génie géotechnique, géologie appliquée, génie civil ou sciences géologiques et expérience significative (> 8 ans) dans le domaine du génie civil, du génie géotechnique et des digues à résidus et de retenue des eaux.

Maîtrise du français et de l’anglais (à l’oral et à l’écrit).

Expérience de travail sur le terrain pour un exploitant minier.

Capacité à établir rapidement des relations d’affaires solides, à établir sa crédibilité et à influencer les parties prenantes internes et externes pour encourager la recherche de consensus et la collaboration.

Capacité à gérer simultanément plusieurs fronts de travail sur différents sites.

Expérience au sein de grandes organisations complexes à l’échelle mondiale ou régionale.

Permis de conduire valide.

About the role
We are looking for a Senior Advisor – Tailings and Water Dams to provide technical support and advice to manage major hazards related to Industrial Waste Facilities, natural and engineered slopes, Water and Tailings Dams in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa region (EMEA) region through effective engagement, communication and collaboration with multiple assets.
This is a great opportunity to provide technical support and assistance to the Closure portfolio for closing and legacy assets and is centered around the Rio Tinto commitment to safe closure. You will play a critical part in the Rio Tinto journey to understanding and reducing risks.
Reporting to the Senior Manager Major Hazards, and working in a challenging and exciting environment, you will:

Maintain overall stewardship of the Tailings Storage Facilities (TSF), Water Storage Facilities (WSF), natural and engineered slopes, and Industrial Waste Facilities (IWF) in the legacy portfolio
-
Ensure compliance with Rio Tinto’s Standards and Industry Standards and Guidelines with an emphasis on slopes risk management and Water and Tailings Dams Risk Management in France, to ensure risks are appropriately identified and managed at all RT Closure sites.

Provide Responsible Dam Engineer (RDE) services to legacy assets and be responsible for the ongoing management, conformance, and governance of these facilities
-
Conduct regular inspections, audits, and surveillance of the geotechnical assets to monitor performance, identify potential hazards, and assess integrity. Maintain detailed records and documentation of all findings

Support the RT Closure conformance to GISTM and the D5 and D3 Standards for legacy assets.
-
Identify hazards associated with IWF, natural and engineered slopes, water and tailings storage facilities, working closely and effectively with the assets to secure and provide appropriate technical and engineering support.

Provide advice and guidance to Rio Tinto accountable people (Nominated managers, General Managers, Asset Managers) in accordance with internal standards and guidelines.

Visit sites on a regular basis for inspections and technical support.
About you

A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team

Tertiary qualifications in geotechnical engineering, engineering geology, civil engineering or geological sciences and substantial experience (>8 years) working in the field of civil engineering, geotechnical engineering water dams and/or tailings dams.

Fluent in French and English (oral and written)

Experience working on-site for a mine owner
-
Ability to quickly build robust business-focused relationships, establish credibility and influence internal and external stakeholders to drive consensus and collaboration.

Ability to manage multiple work fronts at different sites concomitantly
-
Experience in large, complex organisations with either a global or large regional spread.

Valid Driver’s License
