Estamos buscando Geólogos/as que desempeñen un papel clave en el descubrimiento, exploración y desarrollo de recursos naturales. El rol implica interpretar datos geofísicos, geoquímicos y geológicos para desarrollar modelos de la superficie y subsuperficie terrestre, con el objetivo de identificar reservas de recursos naturales que sean comercialmente viables y explotables.
Esta es una excelente oportunidad para un/a Geocientista de contribuir a las bases de los proyectos de exploración y producción de recursos naturales, así como de brindar asesoramiento especializado para proyectos de ingeniería.
Tus principales responsabilidades serán:

Recolectar y monitorear información en campo proveniente de perforaciones diamantinas, muestreos y mapeo geológico, garantizando precisión y calidad de los datos.

Interpretar datos utilizando software técnico para identificar la geología del subsuelo y la importancia económica de los recursos naturales.
-
Desarrollar modelos geológicos del subsuelo para comprender estructuras geológicas, características de las rocas y la probable distribución de recursos minerales.
-
Interpretar resultados en colaboración con otros profesionales de ciencias de la tierra para asesorar a ingeniería y a la alta dirección sobre factores que influyen en la exploración.

Evaluar la calidad potencial de los recursos minerales.
-
Trabajar con contratistas de perforación para identificar ubicaciones de perforación basadas en datos y modelos desarrollados.
-
Elaborar mapas geológicos, reportes técnicos, informes de riesgo de objetivos de exploración y estudios que generen nuevas oportunidades.

Habilidades técnicas, experiencia y calificaciones

Título universitario en Geología o carrera afín.

Experiencia mínima requerida de 2 años en trabajos de campo, incluyendo mapeo geológico, muestreo y, deseablemente, registro (logging).

Capacidad para distinguir diferentes asociaciones de alteración en sistemas hidrotermales.
-
Conocimiento básico de modelos de yacimientos minerales.
-
Capacidad para describir y clasificar distintos tipos de rocas, especialmente rocas ígneas.
-
Manejo de software geológico (Leapfrog Geo, ArcGIS Pro, entre otros).
-
Capacidad para integrar e interpretar datos geológicos.

About the role
Finding better ways to provide the materials the world needs.
We are looking for Geologists who play a significant role in the discovery, exploration, and development of natural resources, which will interpret geophysical, geochemical, and geological data to develop models of the earth’s surface to discover commercially viable and exploitable reserves of natural resources.
This is a great opportunity for Geoscientist to provide a foundation for the exploration and production of natural resources, who will further provide specialist advice for engineering projects.
Your responsibilities will include:

Collect and monitor information in the field, from diamond drilling, sampling and mapping, ensuring accuracy and quality.

Interpret data using technical software to identify subsurface geology and the economic importance of natural resources.
-
Develop geological models of the earth’s subsurface to understand the geological structures, rock characteristics, and the likely distribution of mineral resources.
-
Interpret the results in collaboration with other earth science professionals to advise engineers and senior management on factors affecting exploration
-
Assess the potential quality of mineral resources
-
Work with drilling contractors to identify drilling locations based on data and models developed
-
Produce geological maps and reports, risk reports of exploration targets, and research to create new opportunities.

Technical Skills, Experience, and Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in Geology or a related field
-
Required experience of at least 2 years of fieldwork, including geological mapping, sampling and desirable logging.
-
Ability to distinguish among the different alteration assemblages in the hydrothermal systems.
-
Basic knowledge of mineral deposit models.
-
Ability to describe and classify different types of rocks (especially igneous rocks)
-
Familiarity with geological software, (LeapFrog Geo, ArcGis pro, and others).

Integration and interpreting geological data
