About the role
We are looking for an Area Maintenance Coordinator to maintain all area equipment in good operational condition.
This is a great opportunity to coordinate emergency, corrective, and preventive maintenance activities across Operations and Maintenance teams. You will be responsible for planning and coordinating all outage activities in collaboration with the Turnaround (T.A.) team and the Maintenance Planner/Scheduler. This role also serves as a key point of contact for external contract maintenance and waste service providers, ensuring services are delivered efficiently and that site assets are maintained in safe, reliable, and optimal operating condition.
About the role
Reporting to the Area Manager – Hydroxide Line 2 and working in a collaborative community, a challenging and exciting environment, you will:

Participate in Daily Safety meeting and engaged in area safety program; is a leader in safety for the department.

Ensure Safe Work Permits are completed fully and all hazards and required PPE identified and understood by those performing work.

Responsible for coaching area operators on writing good safe work permits and other critical life permits.

Responsible for ensuring maintenance and waste contractors in the area are approved in Avetta and up to date on safety training before performing work in the area.

Evaluate maintenance requests, set priorities and process work order assignments through SAP
-
Manage scheduling of critical work orders (emergency, corrective, preventative and regulator) with maintenance planner/scheduler to ensure reliable operation of the circuit.

Maintain vessel inspections in accordance with compliance calendar

Ensure Production soak and outage activities are scheduled in accordance with the S&OP soak plan.

Responsible to interface with area manager and supply chain scheduler/planner regarding changes to S&OP soak plan
-
Responsible for developing the work plan for Area Outages in conjunction with Maintenance Planner and Scheduler and communicating the work plan to area operations

Evaluate equipment function and operational trends for early reliability identification

Support operations with troubleshooting process and equipment issues on the circuit
-
Have knowledge to step into operations role and cover at the DCS for up to a shift

Control expenses to budget in area of responsibility, other outside services and maintenance costs, through issuance of PORs and timely payment of invoices

Manages all area PMs with the rotating crew operators

Other job duties may be assigned from time to time.
About you

High school diploma or general education degree (GED);
-
Minimum 5 years’ experience in process manufacturing
-
Knowledge of Lithium Hydroxide and Auxiliary Equipment operation and ability to utilize the DCS to operate circuit
-
Uses logic and appropriate methods to successfully troubleshoot and solve difficult problems
-
Uses the computer to accurately enter information and data into Livent business systems (SAP and Cority)

Uses effective oral and written communications
-
Uses MS Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook to communicate all work instructions, circuit and order statuses
-
Writes and process work notifications as needed for breakdowns and circuit needs
-
Follows policies and procedures; work with integrity and ethics
