Estamos buscando un/a Especialista Senior Investigador/a para apoyar al Director de Investigaciones en América, trabajando en colaboración con la función más amplia de Ética y Cumplimiento (E&C).
Para tener éxito en este rol, aplicarás tu conocimiento técnico/profesional de las mejores prácticas, investigaciones justas desde el punto de vista procedimental, y el enfoque de Rio Tinto centrado en las personas y sensible al trauma, para investigar alegaciones complejas, establecer conclusiones y elaborar informes.
Trabajarás con autonomía, con mínima supervisión, pero también con acompañamiento para desarrollar tus habilidades. Contribuirás a mejoras en los procesos, revisarás informes de investigación de otros especialistas y brindarás orientación, coaching y capacitación a personal con menor experiencia o recién incorporado.
En este rol interactuarás con participantes de las investigaciones y distintos grupos de interés en todos los niveles de la organización. Deberás ser capaz de gestionar conflictos, recopilar y evaluar evidencia en todas sus formas, analizar la credibilidad de testigos, comunicarte de manera efectiva y redactar informes claros, así como manejar conversaciones difíciles.
Debes demostrar una integridad personal ejemplar e incuestionable, y ser capaz de tomar posturas firmes pero justas, mostrando perseverancia ante la resolución de problemas complejos.

Reportando al Director de Investigaciones para América, serás responsable de:

Realizar investigaciones centradas en las personas y sensibles al trauma sobre alegaciones de mala conducta en la región de América
-
Trabajar estrechamente con diferentes stakeholders internos (unidades de negocio, grupos de producto y funciones) en la implementación del proceso investigativo y en la gestión del bienestar de los participantes

Recopilar y evaluar evidencia en todas sus formas
-
Elaborar informes de investigación completos, con bases sólidas y razonables para cada conclusión, tanto de uso interno como en instancias legales externas si fuera necesario

Participar en instancias posteriores a la investigación para identificar factores organizacionales y ambientales vinculados a los hallazgos, y colaborar en procesos de acciones correctivas y preventivas, mitigación de riesgos de integridad y optimización de procesos

Contribuir al desarrollo continuo del proceso de investigaciones, incluso liderando proyectos cuando se requiera

Revisar informes de investigación de pares

Mentorizar a Investigadores/as Especialistas

Sobre vos
Para tener éxito en este rol, contarás con:

Título universitario (o acreditaciones profesionales equivalentes en investigación).

Formación en derecho, análisis de fraude contable, finanzas, auditoría o recursos humanos.

Amplia experiencia en investigaciones de conducta en el lugar de trabajo y/o cumplimiento normativo basado en integridad.

Experiencia comprobable en entrevistas y redacción de informes.

Excelentes habilidades de comunicación oral y escrita.

Amplia experiencia en análisis investigativo de evidencia.

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Specialist Investigator to support the Director Investigations Americas to work in collaboration with the broader E&C function. To succeed in this role you will apply your technical/professional knowledge of best practice, procedurally fair investigations and the Rio Tinto trauma informed, people centric investigation process to investigate complex allegations, make findings and prepare reports. You will work with autonomy, and with minimal guidance but also with supervision to grow your skills. You will contribute to process improvements, peer review investigation reports prepared by Specialist Investigators and provide informal advice/guidance, coaching and training to less experienced or new staff.
In this role you will be interfacing with investigation participants and various stakeholder groups across all levels of the organisation. You must be capable of managing conflicts, collecting and assessing evidence in all forms, assessing witness credibility, sound communication and writing skills and the ability to navigate difficult discussions with participants and stakeholders. You must display exemplary and unquestionable personal integrity and be able to take a firm but fair stand, displaying enthusiastic persistence when solving complex issues.

Conduct trauma-informed and people-centric investigations into allegations of misconduct involving matters across the Americas region

Work closely with a variety of internal stakeholders within our business units, product groups and functions in the implementation of the investigative process and to assist them with managing the welfare of investigation participants

Collect and assess evidence in all its forms

Prepare comprehensive investigation reports and be able to demonstrate a fair and reasonable basis for all findings, either internally or in an external legal forum if required

Contribute to post-investigative discussions to identify organizational and environmental factors relevant to findings and to assist the business with the Corrective and Preventative Action process, and as it relates to ongoing business integrity risk mitigation and process optimization strategies

Contribute to the ongoing development of the investigation process including taking a leading role on projects when requested.

About you
To succeed in this role, you will have:

Degree level (or equivalent professional investigation accreditations)

Background in either law, forensic accounting, finance, auditing or human resources

Deep experience in either or both general workplace/behavioural misconduct or integrity-based compliance investigations

Significant proven experience in interviewing and report writing skills

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Deep experience in forensic analysis of evidence

Knowledge of internal control frameworks

Ability to evaluate large volumes of data in an efficient and organised manner

Excellent time management and record keeping and a good team ethic

Ability to mentor and develop junior team members

Its mission is to provide an effective business integrity compliance program across the Rio Tinto Group to ensure all employees and third parties working on behalf of Rio Tinto, conduct business in an ethical and compliant manner within all countries where we operate.
Although based in Argentina, some travel may be required domestically and internationally. Rio Tinto encourages flexible working arrangements.
