About the role
We are looking for a Maintenance Mechanic responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repairs of machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe systems; and performs emergency response tasks as needed. This is a great opportunity for an experienced mechanic to make a meaningful impact on our ongoing operations.

About the role
Reporting to the Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor and working in a collaborative community, a challenging and exciting environment, a diverse team, etc., you will be:

Responsible for supporting safety efforts in his/her department, participates in programs and systems to promote a safety culture at the site.

Responsible for executing mechanical work orders as scheduled and planned

Responsible for visually inspecting and testing machinery and equipment.

Responsible for dismantling defective machines and equipment and installing new or repaired parts
-
Set up and operates machine tools such as grinder, drill, and saws to repair or fabricate machine parts, fixtures, and tools.

Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment

Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.

Responsible for keeping accurate records of work performed, time spent on jobs, and materials used.

Responsible for recommending and implementing improvement ideas/methods for maintenance to lower costs and to improve equipment performance and reliability, and personnel safety.

Responsible for entering production data into VDBs, log/batch sheets, databases and systems (SAP).

May be required to work 2nd, 3rd, and or 12-hour shifts.
About you
-
High School diploma or GED required – associate’s degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and one-year related experience; or 3 or more years of Mechanical manufacturing experience with trade school diploma/certification desired

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have basic working knowledge of the Materials Management and Production Planning modules in SAP as well as Excel and Word Processing software (Microsoft Office, including Access).
